The brutal winter wind stabbed at Marvin as he stepped outside in just a long-sleeved shirt and thin jeans, sprinting away from the house as best he could without falling over. The blizzard outside was absolutely horrible, and it was just as cold outside as it was in his father's barely-existent heart. He fumbled with his phone as he tried to type in his password, as his thumbs were practically frozen from the bitter temperature. After a couple of failed attempts to reach Whizzer's contact, Marvin finally hit the dial button, pressing his phone to his ear. The phone rang twice, before Whizzer's voice flooded from the phone, and it soothed Marvin just the smallest bit just to know that his boyfriend existed.

"Um, if you're not busy, could you- um- pick me up in front of the neighbor's house?"

"What happened? You're not outside right now, are you?" Whizzer asked, and Marvin could hear him pulling on a coat through the speaker.

"I'll explain when you get here," Marvin said quickly, continuing to walk slowly away from his house.

"I'm leaving right now, I'll be there in, like, three minutes." Whizzer said, hanging up. Marvin exhaled, hugging himself tightly and looking at the ground as he tried to shove loud sobs right back down to where they came from. He was so cold, he could feel every part of his body shaking, and his insides felt like they were about to drop from his ass. Every little flake of snow that hit him felt like a gigantic knife, digging right into his skin. He tried to calm himself down, but his brain wouldn't allow it. Soon, Whizzer's black HHR pulled up right next to him, and Marvin quickly hopped in, leaning over to fall awkwardly into his boyfriend's arms. It was so, so warm.

"What the fuck happened? Why are you outside in this?" Whizzer asked, holding Marvin tightly. Marvin sniffled as he recalled the memory.

"MARVIN!" Marvin's father screamed from downstairs, sounding very displeased. Marvin ran quickly down the stairs, trying his best not to panic.

"Yeah, dad?" Marvin's father was red in the face, his eyebrows furrowed, and had his phone in his hand. He shoved it in Marvin's face, who flinched, squeezing his eyes shut. Quickly, he opened them. When he finally got a good look at the picture, he gasped, his eyes widening. It was him and Whizzer, kissing over a small table outside of their favorite coffee shop. Cordelia must have taken it, but how it had gotten to his father, Marvin had no idea.

"The fuck is this, Huh? You think that you can run around kissing boys and acting all queer 'n come up here and suck up to my ass like you ain't done shit wrong?" Marvin's father hollered, his face turning an unnatural shade of purple that Marvin hadn't seen before. Marvin shook his head, tears blurring his vision.

"Dad, I-"

"You have five seconds to get out of my house before I snatch you up and drive you to a goddamn retard ward and leave you there, you hear me?"

"But dad, please-"

"GET YOUR QUEER ASS OUT!" His dad screamed, shoving him towards the door. Marvin sobbed, spinning around and running as fast as he could out of the building.

"Oh, baby." Whizzer whispered, kissing a now sobbing Marvin on the top of his head. Gently lifting the boy's chin, Whizzer cupped his cheeks, staring into his eyes. "Hey, don't cry. You have nothing to be sad about, alright? Your dad's a douche, fuck that guy, we can forget about him. And, hey, you get to stay with me now! If you want to, at least, if not we can set you up with Charlotte or Cordelia but I just kind of assumed- you know what, it doesn't matter. What I'm saying is that maybe some good will come out of this mess." Marvin nodded, smiling a bit through his tears.
