it's the time of the year

it's the season of giving back

it's the merry holiday we all wait so eagerly

it's the season of joy and holiday cheer

it's the day when all that is dark shines its hidden inner light

it's a day filled with memories cherished to be forever

it leaves a warmth in our hearts and a smile on our faces 

it melts away winter's cold spells on us

it's a day filled with overflowing love

it's a day of many that will forever touch our hearts till the end of time

it brings family and friends together for a feast filling our stomachs and hearts

it's the tune playing to our hearts

it's a day when the soul is young and alive within ourselves

the angels from above shower their blessings upon us all

it's a day when the spirit in us is left loose from its reins

it breaks the silence and loneliness of life

it's one of the times in the year when the humanity of us is strengthened

it's more than just Christmas trees and presents

coloured lights are lifting and sparking the fire of love

it's a time when enemies reconcile and come together in peace

it's a day when communities come together as one

it's a day that differences are set aside and embraced

it's a day when diversity is celebrated and appreciated

it's a day full of appreciation and compassion to everyone

the first white winter snow falls upon our house rooftops this day

snow will be a joy to many children and adults

it's a day when you'll sit with the cosy campfire

it's a day filled with laughter and fun

it's a day when the serious will set back and loosen up

it's a day full of happy chaos and mayhem

it's a special day impossible to forget

it's a day many will remember as priceless

it's a day only coming once every year

it's the day when families are all together

the star on the top of the Christmas tree is the holiday spirit
