i'm sorry

my actions hurt you 

I was too blind to see the pain i caused you

what i did was add insult to your injuries

I was selfish and turned a blind eye on your plea of help

my apology will never erase the empty promises and lies i said

nothing will change my past mistakes 

don't think I expect you to forgive me

for years I acted as a monster 

 i only thought of myself and not you all this time

I was the cause of all your tears and misery

everything was in turmoil

despite all this, you still stayed by me

your heart was glass

yet I pushed you to your breaking point

you never said a word and kept silent about what i did

I took you for granted 

all those years ago I never said i love you

I'm sorry for all the harsh words I said to you

I didn't believe that your heart was fragile

I realised when you were out of my grasp

I'm sorry for causing you distress

never should I have done to you

I'm sorry I messed what could have been beautiful up

I'm sorry for being the reason you can't love me more

I'm sorry for being the stupid fool you told me I was all these years

I'm sorry for breaking that trust you had in me all this time

I'm sorry for not putting you over my selfish desires

I'm sorry for being the monster who hurt you

this is my final goodbye

this is the end of our chapter together

this is the beginning of a fresh start for both of us

i'm now paying the price of what i did

hold as much resentment you have against me

I  know I deserve it

one thing I wished I could do is be a better me for you

I know I can't go back as it's impossible

please forget me

you should have saved your dignity by leaving me before

I hurt you so please don't ever forgive me

just hate me forever without me knowing
