this poem might bring you to tears. a poem to my owls! (edit 26/06/22)

from 3 years ago to now,

your overwhelming support shines brighter than the worries in my mind.

in the hardest of times,

your presence is the beacon of hope to my self doubt.

even with how little I gave back to you, 

you always remain patient and grateful.

despite my absence,

you always remain faithful from the start.

forgetting you is impossible,

as you are unforgettable and remembrance is the only possible.

you will forever live in the heart and mind of mine

until the day death does us apart.

my actions will never be enough to repay you,

for you have given more than I have given you.

I'll forever be indebted to your never-ending love.

with all shadows,

your light shines brightest of them all.

people come and go in our lives,

but out of all people you stayed with me.

with my 2 years of leaving you all in the dark in terms of my work,

you still stuck by despite the truth.

remembering you brings a smile on my face,

and I am forever grateful for the gift of you.

words cannot explain the depth of my gratitude to you,

for that is an understatement within itself.

thank you for being the best people ever.
