winter nights

long time no see our friend

here comes out long overdue visitor winter

winter welcomes its season's blues to us

winter grants its seasonal greetings

winter gives us the gift of long nights 

winter brings people closer and more tight-knit

winter unleashes the thrill of our childhoods back to us

winter gives us its winter wonderland of snow

snow is one of nature's many wonders

winter brings its winds of cold air

winter takes flight on autumn's stay ends

winter's winds sing its song of youth

winter's snow palace ices over our window glass frames 

snow is the centrepiece of winter's memories

winter brings out the lounging inhouse nights'

winter brings out the frost and ice of nature

rain pitter-patters on our windows 

winter brings out the spirit of festivity and get-togethers

it gives the experience of connection and comfort

here it brings us a special day close to our hearts and for memories

the stars in the night sky twinkle bright through our windows

winter brings the nights of watching our favourite shows

winter nights are when we indulge in our hot cup of cocoa for warmth from the winter cold

many are the nights we spend sitting back with the fireplace blazing bright

winter nights shares the joy of delicious treats made

winter nights bring out the carefree and wild spirit we hide 

countless are the game nights and early nights-in we have

inevitable is the winter illness we all get

numbered are the days of snow in our backyards in the morning

fewer are the days of relaxation in our busy lives

too many are the days of tiredness and overload

lesser are the days of outdoors for our bodies

wonderful are the days of delicious food and gifting

lonely and dark  is the nights of those without company

jam-packed is the nights of preparation and cooking for parties

peaceful are the nights of walking in the snow

beautiful are the nights of closeness and reunion of family and friends

jolly is the nights of Christmas tunes and dancing

comfy are the nights of self-care and relaxation

lovely are the multitude of smiling faces and carols on Christmas day
