goodbye

our time together has long passed
for our days were numbered
we lost in touch with what brought us together
the love we had for one another was dying out its flames

the warmth you once had worn itself away
Instead, it left your heart hardened and you cold-hearted
the light from your face faded away
all you wore on your face was a sickening pallor

the smile that was always on your face bypassed its time long ago
all I see now is an infelicitous sadness you exude day in and day out of
the comforting presence you used to give me disappeared instantaneously
all you give to me now is the cold shoulder and your scornful words

you once were the sweetheart and love of my life I knew
yet you were a barefaced liar all this time
This empire we built together was of no value to you
all of those memories we had was all for nothing

all this time I was foolishly head over heels for you
I was fooled into your false persona you played all this time
I was the victim of your love spell
you played me as a fool

Everything you did means nothing now
As always you leave me hanging
no more playing smoke and mirrors with me and my heart
don't come back to me crying that you're sorry

no more second chances for you
You're walking on thin ice with me
you always turn your back on me when I need you
it's the end for our time together

my hands were tied
now I'm breaking the ties we shared for so long of our lives
This is my final goodbye to you
This goodbye is the last of mine to you as the seed of a new chapter for you and I apart
