We stepped into the large castles entrance hall. (I haven't read Harry Potter In so long bare with me).
Professor McGonagall led us to the great hall (?? Is that what's it's called I'm so tired and it's so vivid) saying something about a sorting hat.
In the crowd I caught eye of a curly headed boy standing next to a platinum blond boy. The blond boy looked almost emotion-less. Right next to the blondie was a raven haired boy, with circle framed glasses. (Yes I'm making Harry and Draco friends in this deal with it)
As we walk closer to the great hall the crowds merge and suddenly I'm next to the curly headed boy.
"Heyo, I'm Ezra! This is Draco, tough outside, softie on the inside, Harry, he's a little short but he carries the anger of a giant. What's your name?", Ezra asks as Harry and Draco glare at him.
"Hey, uh I'm y/n.", I tell the curly headed boy.
"Nice, shortie, shy, not very talkative, looks to be a determined person, but what for?", Ezra exclaims as he examines me.
"Uh, freedom I guess. Ready to get out of the spotlight of millions of people and into the small crowds.", I tell them.
And I am ready to be a regular person again. When you start YouTube you get sucked into the fame you don't want to be in. It's scary.
Ezra only nods his head.
"Yeah I get that, you do YouTube by any chance?"(Okay I get that YouTube was not made then but please for the sake of the story. Play along), he asks.
"Yeah, mainly for games. Like CS:GO and Minecraft.
"Same! Also kinda ready to get outta the spotlight.", he says, a sad expression on his face.
"So.. you guys know what house you think you'll be in?", Draco asks trying to change the subject.
"Hopefully ravenclaw or slytherin. I'm not even remotely brave so gryfindor is out of the question. I'm not that kind and loyal, only to the people I can trust the most so I might be in hufflepuff but I doubt it. I do like to learn and have some creativity. But I am mostly ambitious and cunning.", I say with a slight shrug. Draco nods, agreeing with me.
Ezra just plainly says slytherin. Harry just says,
"Whatever house I am sorted into works for me.", he says.
We finally walk into the large great hall. The candles floating in the air. All the children amazed.
Professor McGonagall reads off the names and the children place the hat onto their head to get sorted into their respectful houses.
Ezra got Slytherin. So did Draco. Harry got gryfindor, which wasn't surprising.
" Riddle , Y/N", McGonagall gapes. I slip into the perfect cocky pureblood mindset and gracefully walk up to the podium, placing the hat onto my head.
"Ah, another Riddle I see! Your determination to learn earns you a good spot in ravenclaw, but I'm not quite sure you would work there, as you are mostly cunning and ambitious. Hm interesting very interesting. Ah I know!
Slytherin!", the hat calls out. I guess I do follow my father's footsteps. I carefully place the hat back on the stool and gracefully walk to the cheering Slytherin table. I smirk as I see Ezra and Dracos appalled faces.
"You're a riddle?! I was wrong all along?", Ezra says as he puts his head in his hands.
"Hey it's okay, I hid it from everybody so everyone's wrong.", I say softly. Ezra chuckles lightly.
"Thanks Slytherin Princess.."
