You look out your large open window and down at the garden below. There stands Ezra, guitar in hand, singing his heart out.

Even when we weren't together"

He had been on and off all summer when we were hanging out. That's why I decided to cut it off. If there were no feelings on one side of the relationship, I don't want it.

I smile sadly down at him. They did in fact leave some bruises. He said things that hurt the most. Looked at me with a glare that held nothing but hatred. No love in the looks he sent, only anger. Anger at me? That was the thing I didn't know. I didn't know if the anger he held in his eyes was locked in because of me. The anger just showed up one day, captured in his eyes, for no apparent reason.

He smiles up at me, his hazel eyes looking into my own. The moonlight reflected onto the tears that were cascading down his soft face.

That line brings back memories. The nights where we used to sit under the big oak wood tree in my front yard and just talk. The days where we used to go down to the park and sit on the swings, sometimes talking, and sometimes just sitting in comfortable silence.

Can we go back to saying that i love you like before"

I honestly don't know if everything could be healed and back to the way it was those years ago, but I do know that we will try. I would try to mend things with Ezra.

I smile down at him. He turns his guitar on his back and speaks a final sentence, looking directly at me,
