"I love you, you're my star.."

Ezra sits on the rocky metal stool on the stage, an acoustic guitar in his hands. He fixes the mic while smiling awkwardly at the crowd.

"Hey, uh, I'll be singing 'Star Shopping' by Lil Peep." (Requested by ShilohDynasty0)

Ezra slowly begins to strum his guitar, still having a slight smile on his face. Then he begins to sing,

"Wait right here
I'll be back in the mornin'
I know that I'm not that important to you
But to me, girl, you're so much more than gorgeous"

He straightens his back and sits straighter, getting into the song.

Ezra used to let you sleep when he got up and left for his night shift at his job, but he was always back by the time you got up to make breakfast.

"So much more than perfect (yeah)
Right now I know that I'm not really worth it
If you give me time, I could work on it
Give me some time while I work on it"

He takes a breath and smiles brightly, the crowd at the local karaoke bar he's preforming at have mirroring smiles on their faces.

"Losin' your patience, and, girl, I don't blame you
The Earth's in rotation, you're waitin' for me
Look at my face, when I fuck on your waist
'Cause we only have one conversation a week"

He shifts uncomfortably in the metal stool. He didn't feel comfortable singing this part in front of people three times his age, but he still did it. Or maybe it was because the stool was digging into his tailbone by how far ahead his was sitting on it, either way he was uncomfortable.

"That's why your friends always hatin' on me
Fuck 'em though, I did this all by myself
Matter fact, I ain't never asked no one for help
And that's why I don't pick up my phone when it rings"

Ezra smiles sadly at his feet. He always felt a connection with this paragraph. Whenever you needed advice you'd text him first, but he wouldn't reply. You didn't know if he was ignoring you or didn't see them, so you called. The tears pooled in your eyes threatening to spill over and down your soft cheeks, leaving salty trails of sadness. And when the sadness was dried up there was still evidence left over, the salty tears drying up into a sticky mess, your eyelashes sticking together, barely letting you see.

"None of my exes is over Lil Peep
Nobody flexin' as much as I be
That's why she text me and tell me she love me
She know that someday I'll be over the sea"

He taps his feet against the floor along with the beat, though I doubt he's just tapping for the beat. He taps his feet when he's nervous, it's a tick he's picked up throughout the years.

"Makin' my money and smokin' my weed
I think it's funny, she open up to me, get comfortable with me
Once I got it comin', I love her, she love me
I know that I'm nothing like someone her family want me to be
If I find a way, would you walk it with me?
Look at my face while you talkin' to me
'Cause we only have one conversation a week"

He spots you in the crowd, and winks discreetly. Though, the crowd of twenty year olds in the middle screamed at the wink, not knowing it was directed to you.

"Can I get one conversation at least?
Shout out to everyone makin' my beats, you helpin' me preach
This music's the only thing keepin' the peace when I'm fallin' to pieces"

He laughs with a pout on his face, he looked like a puppy begging for a treat. You shake your head at him, laughing quietly.

"Look at the sky tonight, all of the stars have a reason
A reason to shine, a reason like mine and I'm fallin' to pieces
Look at the sky tonight, all of the stars have a reason"

As soon as the song was finished he backed away from the mic, pulling his guitar over his shoulder to rest on his back. He starts walking away from the stool, the crowd stayed quiet though, but Ezra stopped and turned around, carefully whispering into the mic,

"I love you, you're my star.."
