chp 17 "Moving where?!"

"Am I not that important to you, that you couldn't even revel me why are we hiding in this place?" I asked frustrated.

We have been hiding in this place called 'The house' resort, that technically belongs to Arav. Though its not like the same resort like the one in whose opening we went. But considering the fancy surrounding and a separate in house townhouse for special customers I think it's quite appealing for the tourists who visits here.

But again back to us, Arav with his so called team -Veer and Veera- and me are now living here in 'The house' resort's private house having four bed room and hall along with kitchen having all basic items.

It have been four days that we have been shifted from my happy house to this private house. Why? Well, I have been searching the same answer.

I searched him wanting to get all the answer. Finally I found him near the gallery sitting on the little dining table. He was wearing his causal clothes.

"Arav, I'm asking this for the last time." I pointed my index finger at him and continued, "If you don't answer me this time, I swear I'm gonna leave this place the next minute" My tone was as threating as the growl of the lionesses.

"Niya, listen-" before the man in front of me can explain his excuse to me I immediately closed my ears with my palm and said "Don't give me excuse, ok! I don't wanna listen to any excuse. Tell me the reason why they are behind me. Tell me why they wanna harm me. Tell me why do my parents know something I don't know. Tell me the damn reason why you married me. And most of all tell me, why the hell do you even carry that fu*king gun with you." Till the end of the sentence I was breathless.

All questions that have been haunting me from the day we have left my home. I heard my Mom and Dad speaking with Arav. But I really couldn't make the whole thing around my head.

I looked at Arav who was still sitting on the dining chair with afar look on his face.

I got near him and kneeled down putting my hands on his. He looked at me and before he could ask what was I doing, I said "Can't you just tell me?"

"It's because of Mr. Khan." He replied shaking his head.

"Who is he? I have never known anyone with that name."

"He is seeking revenge from Aunty and Uncle." I gave him the confused look. What did Dad or Mom do to him?

"It was even before you were born, Niya. Mr. Khan was sent to jail because your Mom and Dad found out about how he was illegally supplying the formulas of the company to rivals. Your Mom and Dad were the one who collected the evidence against him." He explained and took my hand in his.

"And?"

"And now he came back. And he want the revenge."

"After so many years?" I asked still confused. Confused because I still can't get what it have to been with me and him?

He pulled me up from the position and placed me on his lap, encircling his arms around my waist.

"It's because he wants to target the weak spot. And it's you. The one they love the most, protect the most and adore the most. "

I was in tears after he completed the sentence.

I turned a little to face him. "And Mom and Dad knows it?" He nodded as the answer.

"And you are"

"I'm undercover officer. I was given your case when your mom filed the complaint about the threat she received."

"So, you came back because of it?" I asked.

"Hmmmm" He mumerred and buried his head in my hair.

"You know where he is?"

"He will be in jail the movement I get hold of him." He voice determined.

"We know his location." Veer's thrilled  voice snapped us to look at him.

Arav was quick to jump on his foot making me too do so.

"Where is he?"

"Same place and same condition." Veera replied standing near Veer.

"What do you got from the recording?" Arav asked taking a step forward.

Veer glanced at me for once hesitation clear in his eyes.

"Don't worry. She knows."

"Its the same recording he once send. Having the threats to Niki aunty and Ronit uncle." Veera responded like a true officer in khaki!

"Let's end this here and for all, this time." Arav cracked his knuckles and looked at me. He placed his one hand on my cheeks and said "I will never let him get near you."

"He called Ronit uncle. Alone." Veer interupted.

"And Uncle sure will go alone." Arav replied still looking at me.

I don't know who this Mr. Khan was, or how dangerous he was. But what I knew for sure was Arav would never let anything to let happen to anyone, even if it means to let his life in danger. Though he said he is a officer, but for me he would always be the the same Aru that I knew. The one who cried because his fell of the bicycle craping his knee, one who would got scared when he couldn't find me in hide and seek game for ten minutes, one who would gripped my hand tightly till we were in class.

And now after so many years, may be he changed,  he became stronger, fearless and emotionless, but for me he is and will always be that Aru. My Aru.

"Aru..." I said leaving the sentence hung in the air, asking what he is going to do. To ask if he is alright, if he will be safe, if this will end soon.

"Niya...." He replied looking deep in my eyes. His voice said to just trust him. And I did. I really did. I stared in his eyes for the longest. I hated how they can still gravitate me to them. I don't know when or who leaned first but it just happened. Just like the feather his lips touched mine. A shiver ran down my body and ingnited the whole new desire in me. His hands snaked around my waist pulling me close and locked my lips with his, moving them. My lips moved on it's own accord, mimicking his.  Before I could consider to what was right or wrong we heard someone clearing their throat bringing us back to the reality.

My face flushed and I ran past Veer and Veera who had their eyes covered with hands smiling mischievously.

I couldn't believe it just happened!
