chp 10 "News Flash"

Nitya's POV

Nervous.

The key word I was facing now was nervousness. Why the hell we have to be in some resort? Can't he just tell me the answer. Even the mystery novel are not this confusing!

We were walking inside the resort. Of course he was leading the way cause, he was damn sure that I didn't know where to go.

The floor of the resort was shiney and so clear that you can see your reflection in it.

And yeah, it was polished which made less friction to walk properly. Add to it, I'm wearing heels. Arav was too busy to look back if I was following or not.

The only reason I had my heel on was, because I wanted to be inch taller to face that devil.

Just as we were about to get near the elevator, I saw a girl walking towards Arav with a file in her hand.

"Mr. Khanna" she called him. I decided to wait and see. Arav stopped and turned towards her.

She smiled and said "Good evening sir," she handed over a file to him. "It's the project file you wanted. Everything is set. Your schedule has been changed according to your orders. Would you like anything else?"

"No, that will be all, Priya. You can go." Arav replied and turned to me "Are you gonna just stay there and watch or are you coming?" That pulled me out of the trance.

"Good evening, Mam. Have a nice day." Priya greeted me and went to the other side.

"So, I have an important announcement." Said the man in black suit spreading the vibes of authority. He was on stage with his powerful aura. I can't believe I am seeing the same man. Sure he have changed, he have grown old with the time. His general playful nautre was was Changed with 'don't mess with me' type nature.

White hair here and there in this beard, his eyes have wrinkled a little at the edges.

Mr. Aakash khanna, Arav's Dad, really have changed.

"On the occasion of the ennogaration of my new resort, I present you Arav Khanna, the owner of the resort. This is not just because, he is my son, but he have earned this position with his work. This resort was a dream project. And Arav have successfully achieved it. "

All this while, I was just staring at Arav. His eyes they were changing with different emotions. Happiness, pride and at last pain.

"Now I would like to invite my son, so he could answer your questions." Mr.khanna said and moved aside.

Arav stood up and went on the stage. That was when I glanced all around. We were in a press meet. There were journalist and Camara men here and there.

"Good evening everyone, I firstly want to congratulate all the members of the team who supported me. As Dad said, this was the dream resort we wanted to make. A dream of my grandfather," I could see him getting a little uncomfortable. He was scilent for some time after which I heard the question.

"Mr. Arav, what is special about this resort?" It was man with glasses.

"This resort being is near the tourist places. Aside from swimming pool, and rides we have a golf court and playing aerana. We have business conference rooms and party hall too. And most importantly we have private love garden for the couple who would like to spend there free time with nature." Arav Answered.

"When are you going to get married?" It was from a women who was clearly giving him mischievous smile.

Oh, no!

"Well, I am already married and I would like to introduce you to my wife , Mrs . Nitya khanna" he announced proudly pointing his hand towards me and I could hear the loud gasp and Camara clicking.

This man!

"When was the wedding?"

"Who is she?"

"Why did you married without having the ceremony?"

"Why were we not informed?"

I wanted to laugh at the last question. Even I was not informed dude!

"The marriage was done secretly cause, we were in hurry. As you all know, my grandfather passed away six days ago. It was his last wish." I gasped at that. Grandpa is no more.

All the things clicked on the place

His painful eyes.

The marriage.

His sudden disappearance.

Tears blurred my eyes.

Why? Just why?
