I watched as the sun goes slowly fading into the night
Oh, what a sight, it is to my eyes,
As spring unfolds into a dream of true delight
my heart gave love to thee
that has set my spirit at ease.
I think my soul must have passed away
from the white cliffs is where my memories flow
as I let all my pains go in that cool summers breeze
I felt no more loneliness, that once left me so empty.
But now, I see the beauty upon the valley green
where the shadows move so petulantly across the sky
as if they are making a home on the top of the side of the mountains.
Oh, how the ocean pushing waves upon the land
what a sight that colored true beauty in my eyes,
as I watch the autumn leaves fall from the billions of trees
I know I must be in heaven because my spirit is at peace
I see the white sweet doves flying over me,
where the ocean is so very blue
the air smells so sweet where true love swept me off my feet.
