Chapter 6: Lies Comes With Secrets

Tension was heavy in the viewing room. Bakugo had stood in one of the corners of the room; still completely shocked that Miyuki had actually slapped him. He had a look of confusion on his face; he was shaken to his core. Miyuki was in a opposite corner of the room.

Her mind had tons of thoughts running in through it; if Deku was ok or why in the hell Bakugo would go to such an extreme extent to hurt Midoriya. She shook her head forgetting both thoughts, she wanted to go and ask him if he was ok but didn't because there was a part of her was saying "Fuck that asshole.'

Eventually everyone had finished their trials and the students changed out of their costumes and returned to the classroom. Miyuki had went straight to the infirmary to check on Midoriya. She was shooed away by Recovery Girl, as Midoriya couldn't see anyone which worried the girl more. Sighing in defeat Miyuki went back to class.

She sat in her seat and looked dejected, it felt as though her heart was going to break at the sight of seeing her best friend badly injured. She clenched her fist as she looked down at the floor.

Miyuki could hear the seat in front of her move against the floor, lifting her from the spot she was staring at. 'Good riddance asshole' she thought. She was glaring hard at the back of Bakugo's head as he left.

Deku came back to class as if nothing had happened. She was relieved that he was ok, getting up from her seat to hug him. His face flushed as he reluctantly hugged her back. "Miyuki-chan, I'm ok. But where's Kacchan?"

She moved away from him and looked irritated at the mention of his name. "He left." Before Miyuki could say anything else Midoriya was quick on his feet and left to go after Bakugo.

The girl groaned, her irritated mood deepened as she ran after him. There was no way in hell she was gonna let those to get near each other again after what happened. Miyuki could see her two best friends just a few feet away from where she stood,  hearing Deku's voice; "I got my quirk from someone else!"

Were her ears deceiving her?

No, she definitely heard him right as the words replayed in her head. That's something she's never heard of before. Quirks could only be passed down genetically as far as she knew. There was no way he could've gotten his quirk from someone else,  right? Deciding not to say anything she let them finish their conversation.

It just doesn't make any sense to her, she's known Deku all her life and knew that he was quirkless but now he had one out of nowhere? She just assumed that he was a 'late bloomer' sorta speak.

Deku's words seemed to have set off a trigger inside of Bakugo. His crimson eyes glaring daggers at his childhood friend while everything else about him was screaming malice. Bakugo started uttering insults at Deku but only to shut up when he saw Miyuki approaching them.

He mumbled a 'tch' and looked down at his shoes, not wanting to look Miyuki in her eyes. She stared at him for a second before shaking her head, looking Midoriya in his eyes. "You got your quirk?" She said with her head tilted in confusion. Her voice was low and it was mixed with sadness and hurt.

Deku's eyes widened at her as he was stammering, shocked that she heard him. "I-I... Y-you heard that? I-I, well y-yes..."

Miyuki felt a tug at her heartstrings as she narrowed her eyes at him. "Why didn't you tell me Izuku? Aren't we best friends?"

Nothing was heard as there was silence between the three. Miyuki was confused, she had thought that the friendship they had with each other was strong. But now she was second guessing it. In all the years that Deku and Miyuki had been friends they told each other everything; there were no secrets being kept from either of them.
