Chapter 10: Sports Festival Hype

"Holy shit, we're actually in the U.A Sports Festival!" Miyuki exclaimed happily as she raised a fist into the air. The class laughed at her antics; having Kirishima and Kaminari join her in repeating to fist bump the air in unison.

"Will you just shut the fuck up already?" Bakugo yelled from his seat. "I wouldn't get your hopes up high anyway, because I'm going to win."

Miyuki puffed out her chest and did her best impression of Bakugo. "I'm Kacchan and I'm soooo strong. I'm going to win the sports festival because I got a stick up my ass." She smirked the same way he does, with hands out in front of her as if they were sparking. Her classmates tried to keep their laughter in but there were a few snickers that the room made it echoey.

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY!?" Bakugo yelled, flipping her off.

Miyuki laughed before she blew him a kiss in return. She knew better, she really did, but it was fun to rile Bakugo up once in a while. It was the sports festival and he's been psyching himself way before today; he was determined to win - with no intention of losing to anyone.

Present Mic was riling up the crowd outside; their yells and cheers were so loud that people in the next town probably heard them. It honestly was making Miyuki a little nervous. She was standing next to Deku and Uraraka talking about what to expect when Todoroki made his way over. 

His facial expression was always the same; stoic and with no emotion, his voice was cold yet challenging. He spoke to Deku completely ignoring everyone else like they were insignificant to him. He spoke in the same way Bakugo had; wanting to beat Deku mainly because of his unknown (as far as he knew) connection to All Might. Deku looked shaken but accepted his challenge nonetheless.

A few minutes later everyone was heading outside to line up with the other first years. Bakugo got up on stage as class 1-A's representative, everyone actually thought he was gonna give some great and motivational speech but spoke a few words. "I'm gonna win, and all of you will be the stepping stones."

Yep, that was very like him to say. Miyuki sometimes had wished she had his confidence. As Bakugo passed her he made sure to hit her shoulder, "Stay the fuck out of my way."

The first thing was a no rules obstacle course; just stay on the course and hopefully in the front; Midnight didn't say exactly how many people were going to make it through, so Miyuki would just have to be in the top 3 if not 5. Everyone had gathered at the entrance as they were getting ready. Miyuki wasn't even gonna try to run; that was going to be impossible with this many fucking people. An idea then popped into the pinkette's head.

She pushed through the crowd so that she could be in the front when the doors opened. Miyuki quickly went through the plan in her mind. Ok, you got this Miyuki! She thought as the doors began to open and everyone began pushing their way outside.

Todoroki expelled ice from his foot, freezing more than half of the runners except for Bakugo and Yayorozu. Miyuki dodged the ice quickly; using the steam she had emitting from her body, melting it before it could freeze her. 

The robots were definitely unexpected for some of the runners but Miyuki knew that something like this was gonna happen. Todoroki has froze most of the robots, leaving a couple behind as he made his way into first place. Miyuki smirked and jumped onto a couple robots, releasing the steam into various gaps.

Within seconds the robots had started to short circuit; falling onto the ground as she did a flip off the last one before it fell to the ground.

"It seems that Shoto Todoroki from class 1-A is in the lead, followed by... what's this? Miyuki Himura short circuited all of the remaining robots with her quirk Steam. Her quirk allows her to emit steam from her hands and body with full control of the water she creates from it when changing the temperature of the steam.
Even with Todoroki freezing the ground she's melting his ice away with ease!" Present Mic announced as Miyuki smirked while slowly catching up to the dual colored-haired boy.

She was soon approaching the second obstacle; which was a cliff and tons of rope connecting. If I freeze the water to make a slide I'll be able to slide over this. Alright, it's go time! She concentrated all her might into the water that was now freezing underneath her feet, allowing her to slide to the other side. She did it! Miyuki started to feel confident about her ability and herself!

The third obstacle were land mines. Wait, what the hell!? Why was there fucking land mines of all things!? Bakugo and Todoroki were now in the lead (which was no surprise). She wasn't about to let them beat her! Time to put her idea into motion! Just concentrate on the water and freeze it like you did before. She put all of her concentration on making an eagle out of water; changing the temperature of it to freezing point and it kept the shape of the eagle.

Miyuki hopped onto the eagle as it flew into the sky and over the land mines. She glance at the two boys who were now  fighting but didn't bother saying anything since it'll make her lose her concentration. Bakugo hadn't notice her until she was in his provisional view. "You bitch! I won't let you fucking beat me!" He yelled as he was getting ready to blast up to her when there was an explosion from behind him. All Miyuki saw was green hair as the figure quickly passed her; it was Deku!

Well damn, color me impressed.

The pink-haired girl smirked, taking this as her own challenge against Deku. "So that's how it is huh?"

Miyuki ended up in 4th place, which was still good in her opinion. She walked up to Deku who was bawling his eyes out and wrapped her arm around his shoulders. "Oh stop crying will you? You did amazing! I'm so proud of you!" He smiled at her and nodded, wiping away the tears.
