Chapter 24: Operation: Save Bakugo!

It has been a few hours since Bakugo was taken by the League of Villains and Miyuki was acting different. She wasn't her usual happy and bubbly self; instead she was depressed, not really wanting to talk to anyone. Deku checks on Miyuki to see how she's doing but it's the same, she'd either shrug him off or ignore him completely.

Deku was worried about his friend and thought that Todoroki might be able to get her to talk. The green haired boy walked over to the eating area and looked around until he saw Todoroki, tapping his shoulder. "Todoroki, can I talk to you?" Said boy turned his head over his shoulder and looked at him before answering. "What's wrong Midoriya?"

The two boys walked away from the group. Midoriya made sure not to go too far. "It's about Miyuki. Do you think you can talk to her? She hasn't said a word to anyone since Kacchan was kidnapped."

Todoroki nodded, a state of worry on his face. He wanted to see his girlfriend back to the way she was before Bakugo's kidnapping. "I'll make sure to cheer her up." Midoriya thanked him before running over to Uraraka.

Todoroki made his way over to Miyuki. She stared at her breakfast, sadness showing on her face and in her eyes; the pinkette was unaware that her boyfriend was behind her. "Don't worry Miyuki, we will bring Bakugo back." He said as he sat down next to her. Sniffles could be heard coming from the girl as she turned and looked at him. "P-promise Shoto?"

Todoroki looked her in the eyes and nodded. "I promise." He smiled at her and leaned over, kissing her head. Todoroki let his lips linger a few more seconds before pulling away. Miyuki blushed a little.

"You've never done that before Shoto. Why the sudden change?" She questioned.

"Just doing anything I can to cheer my girlfriend up."

Not long after, Kirishima told Miyuki about his plan to save Bakugo tonight. She immediately insisted on wanting to help save him, even if Deku, Iida, Todoroki and Yayorozu were already part of the rescue. Todoroki opened his mouth to protest but Miyuki stopped him. "I'm coming with you guys to save Kacchan. I don't need anyone to protect me if something should go wrong with the plan."

Everyone stared at Miyuki with wide eyes in surprise at her boldness; even Todoroki. He narrowed his eyes slightly at her. Should anything happen while they're rescuing Bakugo, he wants to be there to protect her.

All Might and some other pro heroes came up with a plan to take down the League of Villains. There were police officers involved as well, they would help with evacuating civilians from the area where the hideout was, the pro heroes would take out the Nomu and All Might would go in and save Bakugo.

Meanwhile with Bakugo...

Somewhere in a different part of the city was the hideout of the League the Villains, Bakugo was strapped and restrained against a chair that was surrounded by members of the Vanguard Action Squad, Kurogiri, and Shigaraki. Shigaraki stood in front of Bakugo, a creepy grin on his face.

"We've seen what your quirk can do Bakugo. Why don't you join us?"

"I'm not joining your stupid fucking little League of Bitches. I'll never become a fucking villain, get that shit through your damn skull!" Bakugo yelled at Shigaraki. The hand that covered Shigaraki's face was removed so Bakugo could see how serious this matter was about to become.

With Midoriya and the others...

Miyuki, Deku and the few others that were in on the plan to rescue Bakugo. The group got off the train after two hours of traveling and stopped at a place called Kamino Ward in Yokohama City. They were close to the League of Villains' hideout so they disguised themselves so it would be easier to infiltrate the hideout and no one could recognize them.

Deku looked at Miyuki with a worried look on his face. "Don't worry Miyuki, we'll get Kacchan back." Miyuki nodded and smiled, her sad expression replaced with one of hope. "You damn right we will." She was determined to get her best friend back; whatever it takes.

Todoroki walked besides Miyuki and took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers. "You'll have us here to help, we don't want you to do this alone." He spoke in a warm and calm tone. The girl looked at her boyfriend. "Thank you Shoto." She leaned over and kissed his cheek. What did she do to deserve someone as perfect as him?

Shoto smiled at her action and squeezed her hand in reassurance. Although he didn't like Bakugo, he was willing to let go of that kiss between him and Miyuki so he can see her happy once more. No one's mattered as much to Todoroki as Miyuki. Maybe, just maybe he was starting to think he may possibly be in love with her.

"Let's go and save Bakugo!" Kirishima said as he raised a fist into the air, everyone following suit.

"Dabi, release Katsuki from his restraints." Tomura ordered as he watches the broadcast of U.A's public apology.

"That may not be the best idea Tomura." Dabi responded, his voice sounded a bit unsure if Bakugo might attack them.

Tomura grew annoyed, he wanted to treat Bakugo as an equal and wants Bakugo to be aware that he has zero chance of winning if they should fight.

"Twice, you can remove the restraints."

Twice looked at Dabi as the raven haired male stared at him with a stoic look on his face. As Twice removed the restraints, Mr. Compress apologized for taking Bakugo in such a forceful way and explains that the League of Villains is not just a group of hoodlums perpetuating crimes nor did they casually abduct him; he goes on by saying that everyone in the League of Villains is shackled by the current society and hopes that Katsuki understands their discrimination.

Tomura approached Bakugo once his restraints were removed. Bakugo took this as his chance to attack Tomura with his explosions.

"I'll never join you fucking losers. I will become the hero that surpasses All Mignt himself! Nothing you asswipes can say will ever make me change my mind."

As the smoke from Bakugo's explosion begins to clear up, Tomura sees that the hand on his face was blown off as a result from the attack. Katsuki taunts the Vanguard Action Squad and Tomura, telling them that his combat authorizations have not been revoked.

However, Dabi, Himiko, Kenji, and Mr. Compress are not intimidated; they wondered about Katsuki's mental state and conclude that he has messed up by going against them.

Kurogiri attempted to help Tomura, but he is silenced when Tomura glares fiercely, which stops Kurogiri and makes Katsuki tense. After picking up his hand and putting it on his face, Tomura understands that Katsuki will not be convinced to join them with mere words alone and realizes Katsuki's importance.

Tomura also knows that time is of the essence and decides to ask for the "force" of his teacher to help him convince Katsuki. Tomura's master, who has been watching Tomura on his computer, commends his apprentice for his wise decision.
