Sam slips her bracelets on her wrist, wincing slightly when her nail runs across her wrist. Just to be sure, she pulls on her black 'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good' Harry potter hoodie. Walking from her room to make herself breakfast, she bumps into her older brother, shocked he's up almost two hours before school begins.

"Don't look so surprised," Dean mumbles, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"You're up at six am, who wouldn't be surprised?" She laughs, earning a death glare, causing her to laugh harder. Dean and his death glares are as harmless as a butterfly.

"I've gotta pick up Cas in an hour and I need a shower, so move." He demands, pushing her to the side so he can get into their shared bathroom.

"Rude," she mumbles under her breath, trudging down the stairs.

She catches a glimpse of her father passed out on the living room couch, bourbon bottle clutched to his chest. She walks over to him, picking up a blanket from the closet on the way, and lays it over him. Placing a gentle kiss on his forehead. Yeah he was abusive, and an alcoholic but he was still her dad, and she loved him.

"Pancakes? Again?" Dean asks from the doorway, pulling on his leather jacket.

"You've got a pie in the fridge, I made it earlier." Sam attempts to bribe, causing Dean to become skeptical.

"What do you want that's so bad you made me a pie at 6 am?" Dean asks, getting out said pie, it wasn't full size, but he appreciated it nonetheless.

"Can you sign me out of school at lunch? I want to go down to the lake near the school and read this new book."

"You know how dad feels about you going anywhere but home," he warns through a mouthful of food.

"Yeah I know. That's why he won't know. If you sign me out at lunch, I'll be home on time and he won't suspect a thing." Sam explains, crossing her fingers under the table.

"Alright." He gives in, Sam smiling like she just won the lottery.

"Hey Sam," Lucifer greets as he slides into his seat.

"Hey Luci," she replies, Lucifer laughing at her nickname for him.

"Luci huh?" He asks, looking at her in amusement.

"Yeah, Lucifer is such a mouthful," Sam says, instantly regretting her choice of words.

"Hey you said it not me," he defends when she glares at him for agreeing.

"Whatever," she grumbles, attempting to hide the smile that had crept it's way onto her face. She could tell from the small laugh that escaped Lucifer's lips that she has failed. But maybe that's okay.

"Today class we will be learning the characteristics of a sociopath..."

"I understood like none of that," Lucifer tells Sam, laughing slightly, as they walk to the cafeteria. Dean should be calling her out any minute.

"I can tutor you, if you want," Sam offered. She had always been good at psychology, maybe she could turn it into a career.

"That'd be great, thanks Sam," Lucifer smiled, playing with his bike keys. "Do you want to go off campus for lunch?"

"Uh yeah, sure," Sam was, shocked to say the least. This would save Dean the time of signing her out though. She pulled out her phone letting him know she had a way out.

"Shall we?" Lucifer mocks a posh accent, holding his arm out for her to take.

"We shall," Sam mimicked, taking his arm, both laughing by the time they got to the bike.

"Hold on tight," He said, pulling out of the parking lot.

"Can we go to the lake?" Sam asked, her lips brushing the back of his ear accidentally. Not that Lucifer minded.

"Sure," he replied, turning left towards Brownstone Lake.

"Abbadon likes to steal any girl I take interest in. I don't have to be dating her or even show that I like her. If I even talk to her, Abbadon somehow manages to get her. Even if she's the straightest straight in the world." Lucifer explained his deep hatred for his sister, well half sister. Sam merely listened, chiming in where needed. It was nice to have Lucifer open up to her.

"You're right, she's a whore," Sam commented when he finished his story, looking up at the sky.

"Damn right she is," Lucifer laughed, following Sam's gaze.

"Shit, what time is it?" Sam asked, the same fear Lucifer had seen the day before in her eyes. Pulling out his phone, he let her know it was almost eleven.

"Shit, shit, shit," Sam mumbled, running a hand through her hair.

"What's wrong?" Lucifer asked, concerned for the girl. Whenever home is mentioned, or it's later than school ending, she flips.

"I can't go home now, he'll be so mad. Oh my god, I can't go home." Sam rushed, a tear slipping out of her eye.

"Sam, tell me what's going on," Lucifer put his hand gently on her shoulder, soothing her slightly.

"My dad, he doesn't like me being home late. Or around guys. And he especially doesn't like you. But if I'm late or I break any of the rules, I get punished. It's not like getting my phone taken away or anything, I get hit. But I mean he loves me, I know he does. But when I do something really bad, he gets worse. If I go home now, I don't know what he will do. If Dean's not there, god I can't go through that again," Sam explains, now full on sobbing. Lucifer pulls her into a hug, rubbing her back.

"Hey, it's okay. I won't let him hurt you. He won't ever hurt you again." Lucifer soothes, feeling Sam mumble something against his chest: 'you can't, he'll kill you.'

A/N I just really love those dorks.
