Chapter 8: Lessons For Idiots

Yui's P.O.V

I sat outside on the floor, that was probably the quietest it had ever been since I got here. I was slightly tense, so this was what I needed most. I started to think back on the past.

"Why do I have to start to think about it all of a sudden?"

~ Flashback ~

I was crying in the jail cell I was forced to secretly stay in underground.

"Why are you crying?" The voice of my father asked from the other side of the bars.

"Because...because I don't want to be here....I want it to go back to how it used to be with mother." I said sniffling in between.

"There's no going back Yui.... The seal was broken and what was inside her, went on a rampage. If we didn't do something quick.. Everyone would have been killed, including you." He said," Now be a nice girl and stop crying, someone is coming to visit later."

"Who father?" I asked tilting my head and wiping my tears.

"Lord Orochimaru," he said.

"W-why?" I asked.

"Don't worry Yui... It's nothing. We will come back down just to run some test on you okay." He said and turned away to leave.

'Test?' I asked myself ,'why do I have to be tested?'. I drifted off into a deep sleep after.

"I heard Lord Orochimaru is coming." I heard a female voice say that woke me up. There was one part of the wall that quite thin so sometimes I could hear the conversations going on. That was my entertainment and some were quite interesting.

"Yes, so did I... He's probably going to unseal that 'thing' from that brat." Another voice said. I had no clue what they were talking about.

"But I heard once it is exracted, the jinchuriki dies." She replied. 'Jinchuriki?'

"Who cares, once that girl is dead, our clan will have the power all to our selves. Although her father is the head of this clan, her mother was from the rotten Hayashi clan so she's not one of us." I heard and I gasped. I maybe didn't know what they were talking about but, I knew that it was definitely about me.

Nothing else mattered anymore. I had to get away. 'I have to run... I don't wanna die!!!! Mom help me!'.

"You're right! So it doesn't matter if she dies." She finished and they both giggled and I heard there footsteps walk away.

I was shaking with fear,"No.No.No!" I shouted pulling at my hair, kneeling. I frantically got up and started banging on the wall, just when I was about to give up the wall began to crumble. I didn't know where I got all that strength from but it didn't matter because it was my chance to escape. I ran up into a room with a safe without being noticed and unlocked it. Inside was a photo of my mom, dad and I and half of a scroll but it was blank and was said that the truth would show up once connected with the other half. I took them with me and ran away.

~Flashback ended~
'I Wonder if the scroll really does hold the truth?' I asked myself,'And if it does, I have to find it.'

"Yui!" Tazuna's daughter, Tsunami called," I think your Sensei woke up!" She gestured me to come inside.

I walked inside the room and Kakashi was explaining why Zabuza was still alive to the rest of the team.

"So you started without me Sensei?" I asked leaning against the wall.

"Yes, since you already know what's going on." He said and I sighed.

"True true, but it's no fun without me." I said.

"I may be stuck in bed but I can still train you." Kakashi said focusing back on to everyone else.

"Hold on!" Sakura interrupted him," A little last minute training isn't gonna make us stronger! You could barely defeat Zabuza! Even with your Sharingan! We have to be reasonable about this."

"Sakura, why do you think I was able to defeat Zabuza?" Kakashi asked without giving her time to respond," Because you all helped me, you've grown Naruto, you've grown the most!"

"So you've noticed!" He shouted proudly and I gave him a friendly punch on the shoulder," Now things are gonna get better Believe it!"

"No I don't Believe it! And nothing's gonna get better!," a little voice yelled from the doorway. It was a little boy wearing a white hat with blue stripes on it.

"Inari! Where have you been?" Tazuna said standing up.

"Welcome back Grandpa!" He said running to hug Tazuna.

"Grandpa? Hmm.. That makes way more sense." I said nodding my head.

"Inari! That was very rude!" Tsunami says walking over to him angrily.

"Don't worry bout it, I'm rude to them to." Tazuna said patting Inari's head.

"Don't you see! They're all gonna die! Gato's men are gonna come back and kill them all!" Inari said making Naruto angry.

"Listen up kid! You know what a super ninja is?!" Naruto said pointing at Inari," It's me only a lot better."

'That kid.....I don't like him' a female voice said. It was dark but smooth, just like earlier.

'Its you. I still don't know who you are.' I replied.

'Call me Kurai.' She replied,'Something about that boy aggrevates me.'

'Who? Naruto?' I asked biting my thumb.

"I'm gonna become Hokage someday!," Naruto shouted," This Gato or Blato or whatever his name is, is no match for a hero like me!"

'Nah, he's alright' I said smiling.

"Huh, there's no such thing as a hero." Inari said making me growl at him,"you're just full of stupid ideas."

I was about to teach that kid a lesson but then Kurai laughed,'That kid is right, where was the hero when you needed it?' She said. I had enough of this.

"I'm not going to die. There's something I need to do before that. Besides I'm not weak like you." I said glaring at him,"Tch. I'm surprised you're even still alive." He looked at me surprised, turned away and ran down the hallway.

"That's what I thought." I said with a sigh and Tazuna turned to us.

"Sorry about that." He said and Naruto ran after Inari.

'So much for relaxing' I said sarcastically.

I got up and I left the house. I need some time for myself, I'll murder everyone in there if I don't.

"Just what I need, an annoying crybaby and his stupid, old fart of a Grandpa." I said out loud.

'So you rather go back to-' I interrupted Kurai.

"Of course not! I'll never go back!" I shouted ,"and when I say I want to be alone I meant it. So shut up!"

'Whatever you wish. Oh, and Yui there's a certain someone up in the trees." Kurai finished causing me to look up.

It was Sasuke.'Ugh,There's just idiots everywhere I turn.'

"Who were you talking to?" He asked in his usual monotone, jumping down from the tree.

"No one. Why are you following me? You stalker!" I said.

"Kakashi sent me to get you, we're going to start our training soon." He said with his hands in his pockets.

"Why you of all people?" I said folding my arms,"I'll be there." And he nodded.

"Sadly." He said and left.
