He sighed S he unlocked the door, and locked eyes with his favourite assistant- pepper Potts.

" going Home already stark." She asked not bothering to look up from her pile of work stacked up on her desk.

He only nodded as he passed by her desk, his reddening eyes covered by his trade mark pair of sunglasses.

He walked out of his company building, looking up. He watched as many of his staff rushed around trying to get their jobs down before they left, not wanting to stay too long as they had family's at home that they wanted to see. He sighed, and carried on down to the small café, his newly found place, that he quite quickly thought was the safest place on earth for him, he could hide away from his thoughts and the world's eye. He was left alone, and he quite liked it.

But ... he wasn't alone. He entered the small building and didn't bother to look around. It was only once he had order his usual, his black coffee and a recently added muffin - that he sat down in his usual place, in the corner further sheltering him from potential threats. You saw him, and he didn't seem his usual self, and you noticed the muffin, making you smile.

You approached him cautiously, and smiled. "so ... is it nice?" you asked as he finished the muffin and his normal characteristic eyes met yours, seemingly less bright, and slightly lifeless.

"Can I sit?" you asked, and he nodded his head vigerously. you smiled as you sat and relaxed in to the booth.

"so, is everything okay, you look down?" His glasses were still on, but you weren't stupid, and they hung low on the bridge of his nose.

He nodded, "I went to the shelter a few nights ago." he said, swirling the coffee around in the cup. "I was expecting to see you, but you weren't there ... it was fun though." you smiled at his small attempt to see you again; you were happy that he was trying to help people and was actually enjoying it as well.

" I'm sorry, it didn't happen to be last Tuesday did it?" you asked.

"yeah, it was." he said and met your eye, pushing up his glasses.

"oh, I'm sorry, work kept me back, my friend missed her shift so I covered it for her, I was there 'til 3. I have never been so tired." you stared off, remembering that night. Awful.

"oh, sorry. You know ... " he started and you knew It wasn't going to be good. You raised an eyebrow. "I could always offer you a job were I work ... you know if that place ever gets too much."

"I'm sure working for you will be just ... or more stressful than the shop. But I'm sure it would be fun. But I love that shop, and I've been working there for a long time. Sorry Tony."

He shrugged his shoulders " don't worry 'bout it. But the offer is always open. "

You smiled and he smiled back, and you had a brilliant idea.

"hey, you want to do something fun?"
