Tony sat behind the bar, swirling the contents of his drink inside. He was bored and had nothing better to do than drink. It was coming up to Christmas, so there were large groups of people, singing and wearing ridiculous outfits. Tony scoffed and took a sip of his drink, slouching against the bar.

A woman approached him, and sat down besides him. " would you like another drink? you look like you need it." she spoke.

He flashed her his trademark smile, and gratefully excepted. They sat there for a few more rounds, until they were so drunk they ended up going back to her place.

--

Tony woke up in an unfamiliar bed, in an unfamiliar room. He rubbed his eyes, looking around. He seemed to be in a flat, considering how high up the room was. He couldn't remember a thing from the previous night, until the girl walked in, holding his clothes.

He instantly regretted everything, he really needed to stop having random hook ups. And he needed to stop drinking so much. He took the clothes and changed into them, and quickly went out of the apartment, and walked down the street with a bad hangover. He managed to get home in one piece, walking past the many houses covered in Christmas lights.

-

As a kid, Tony love Christmas. He loved the lights, the party's, the food. He loved spending time with his family. But as he grew up, his family had shrunk, until he was left alone in the world- only having his friends and his brother.

He hadn't seen his brother since he was ill. Bruce was there until he wasn't needed anymore, and he hadn't seen him since. It was always painful looking back on the memory's of his past Christmases, seeing as he was now alone.

He and Bruce had been close, they would always be together, and they were both very intelligent. As the grew up, it was clear that they were both above normal intelligence, both excelling in Science and maths. They had been extremely close until the death of their parents. As they both grieved separately, they both evolved in different ways. Bruce became more excepting and appreciated life more, whereas Tony became clod and distant, focusing on money and greed.

It separated the two brothers, and they still weren't as close, and both doubted they would ever be that close ever again.

-

Tony unlocked the front door and stepped into the cold, uninviting hallway of his gigantic house. As much as he loved what he had accomplished, he did regret his loneliness.

He threw himself down in front of the tv, and settled down with a warm cup of coffee in his hand. He felt his eyes grow heavy and he eventually drifted off into a deep sleep.
