15- Big baby

I wake up with Lily facing me, leaning up against my chest. Feeling her this close makes my heart beat so fast.

She's like an angel laying peacefully in my arms.

I couldn't tell you what we are doing or what I have planned. She is all that mattered in that moment. It's like time stopped. I try holding my breathe hoping this moment would never end. She belongs waking up next to me every morning.

I feel almost....incomplete....without her.

I gently move the hair from face and cress her cheek.

"You are so beautiful" I softly mumble, trying not to wake her and without thinking, I kiss the top of her head.

I lean back again and I hear her giggle.

"Are you awake?" I furrow my eyebrows with a smile creeping onto my face. I am kind of upset that day has to begin and I can't just sit here all day with her.

"Of course I am, dummy" she smiles, with rosy cheeks. Do you think she heard all of that? I hope not.

In order for my "making-Lily-fall-in-love-with-me-plan" go successfully, I will make her some breakfast.

"You go ahead and take a shower and get dressed first" I mention while I get up out of the bed.

"Alright" she smiles and bounces her way into the bathroom with her clothes. How is she so happy this early in the morning? But I mean, I am not complaining because her smile puts a smile on my face.

As I step down the stairs, I almost trip but I saved myself on the railing. Stupid stairs.

I get to the kitchen and I remember I brought some groceries from home so I didn't have to shop here. I found the eggs and bacon. There is just enough to make two plates. I'll have to go back out to get more at some point. Getting the pan out from the cabinet, I place some butter on the pan to make sure the food doesn't stick much.

After about four burn marks on my right arm from the bacon later, I made us both some breakfast. And just in time because I hear Lily coming down the stairs.

She has on a light grey t-shirt and black sweatpants. I stare at her as she walks over to the seat in front of me.

She blushes, "Ian..."

I snap out of it. Oh. I can't believe I was just staring. I need to cut that out or she'll think I'm crazy. I look down at my feet to avoid eye contact from embarrassment.

"Um, here's some breakfast I made" I pick up her plate and place it in the empty place in front of her.

"Oh wow, this looks great! I was actually craving some bacon" she laughs.

Her laugh made me relax and see that she isn't judging me for earlier. I smile and sit down next to her and start on my plate.

As she was washing the dishes, I quickly ran up stairs to throw on some clothes.

When I was putting on my shoe, I lost balance and fell hard to the ground directly on my knee.

"Oh my gosh what happened!!" Lily shouts coming over to my aid.

"I fell over while putting my shoe on..." I say while not looking at her cause I know she will laugh at me.
Because this is very typical of me. But she stayed quiet and lifted up my leg to see my knee.

"You're bleeding, I'll go get something from the bathroom. Try not to move until I get back, okay?" she said with the slightest bit of panic. I just complied and sat myself up against the wall. I think I must of landed on something sharp. Normally it doesn't hurt this bad.

Lily comes back with a small bag. Not sure what's inside. She comes close and looks at me, and then at my knee and begins to get some sort of liquid out of her bag along with a cotton ball.

"This may hurt a little bit but it'll prevent it from getting infected, okay?" she says while looking at me in the eyes. I just nod. She puts the liquid on the cotton ball and puts it on my knee. That stings like no one's business. I groan trying not to sound to much in pain. Lily just mumbles a quiet sorry and continues to fix my knee. Watching her be so focused is strange. I rarely see this side of her. Her eyebrows are pushed together, her eyes focused, and her smile at the end when she looked up at me with pride.

"There you go, all fixed now"

I pout my lip out and swing my arms dramatically folding them. "I didn't get my hug though" I said. Making her roll her eyes and laugh.

"Okay, come here you big baby"

(I wrote this on Christmas so it is FAR from it lmao so just deal)

Sorry for the inconsistency of my updates but I made this one a little longer, normally i do about 500 words and this was 850 words... so hopefully i made up a little bit and I wanted to add more into the story instead of heading straight to big events. So enjoy... next will be more eventful.
