This is the first time I am writing again for the longest time but I am really hoping I can take this quarantine to use. I hope I'll update a little more often...
_________________________________Lily's POV-
It's been 10 minutes since he asked me to be his girlfriend and I'm still slightly shaking from the thrill of it all.I look over at him, driving with a calm face. Focusing on the road, hand on the gear shift.
The more I watch him, the more eager I am to see him smile. Yes, I see him smile everyday but, knowing I'll be the cause of some of those smiles. That in it of itself is so comforting.
I haven't been in many relationships... I only been in one and it wasn't any sort of love.
The guy's name was Nick. He was nice and we ended on good enough terms. We aren't friends but he doesn't affect my past. I was a little naïve at the time to think it was special. But that's what happens when you are 13 year olds.
We had to break up because I was moving to a new town for my mom's work. I wasn't comfortable doing a long distance relationship. He agreed that it was for the best. I packed my bags and went on my way.
That's when I moved down the street from Ian.
That day was really stressful for me. It was the night before the first day of freshman year. My mom and dad made me get rid of most of my stuff to decrease the amount we had to take.
We arrived at the house, it was around 6pm. They hired some guys to help us unpack everything quicker. They moved all the boxes off the big truck and into the directed rooms.
We had fully unpacked everything from the truck by 8pm.
Once I had unpacked all my clothes and items to their new homes, I helped my parents downstairs with furniture and paperwork. My mom told me I'm going to the school called Lancer High.
I quickly ran to my room and figured out an outfit for the first day. Figuring I going to be totally alone because I knew no one from this town. So I needed a good outfit to make a good impression.
After lying around and checking my phone for hours, I looked at the time and it was 4am. I knew I wasn't going to get sleep so I threw on a giant sweatshirt I got at a thrift store and headed out to walk around.
Then I meet Ian. Changing my life with his little "hey".
He changed me completely ever since I finished talking to him that morning. He was on my mind the whole way home.
Now 3 years later, I get him all to myself.
finally,
someone to love
me
someone I get to
love-[]-
I'm snapped from my thought to hear a whiny Ian, "Stop staring it's making me nervous."
"I'm sorry, I was thinking about when we first met." I mumble turning my body to face him a little more.
"Since we didn't get much of a proper dinner, would you want to go get some food?" He only stares into my eyes for only a few seconds and grabs my hand looking back at the road.
