Chapter 24- Better Late Than Never
( Tyler's P.O.V.)
I woke up as I was picked up by a biker dude, Enda hanging onto Amanda's shoulder as our group made it to the front of the store, people in our group carrying supplies.
Without any problem we got out, into David's vehicle and away from the store.
Everyone fit in well, even with the supplies.
The first stop was David's house, were Enda and the biker sped in, grabbed more supplies and darted out, huge spiders on their tail.
They made it in safely and everyone backed supplies into the bags they brought out so just in case something would happen, everyone would have supplies.
We came to a stop after running out of gas.
" Well shit," The biker dude said. " What now?"
" Were not in a hurry are we?" Enda asked.
" I don't think we have to be." Dan said. " Looks like those things can't really smell us in here."
" And as long as we stay quiet." Irene added.
" Once I get my strength up, I'll zip around and get us some gas, maybe get ahold of another vehicle." Enda said, holding his head. " I need to hunt anyway."
" I thought you needed human blood?" Ollie asked.
" Any type of blood will be fine, I don't need to be picky."
" What the hell?" Amanda asked as the car began to jump.
" Look at that," Dan said, pointing up.
" God." Ambros said, watching a gigantic monster walked a few yards away from the front of the car.
We sat there, quiet as the thing continued it's way, making sure we didn't cause it to notice it.
" HOLY SHIT!" Don yelled as the monster exploded into tiny pieces, it's blood and guts covering the forest that was on our far right.
We all jumped when a woman in a military uniform, along with an assault rifle and a gas mask pecked on the passenger side window of the jeep.
" Everyone alright in there?" She asked.
" Yes." Enda said.
" Stay here, the next unit will escort you to our safe zone."
" There are a bunch of people in the Food House that also need rescuing," David said, annoyance was clear in his voice. " And those spider things are in the pharmacy next door."
" Thank you for the information." She said, then walked away, relaying our message to everyone.
" Better late than never." I exhaled, closing my eyes."
I opened them back up when I heard Enda's head hit the window hard, blood streaming down the window.
Irene pulled his head back, and looked at it.
" His bodies weakening." I said, gripping my stomach.
" From the lack of blood in his system?" Dan asked.
" Were going to have to split off from you guys," I said, shifting my view to the massive carcass. " If they found out what we were, were going to end up like that."
"You're not stable enough." The biker said.
" My would's been shrinking, I can bearly fill it."
" Then you better get going." David said, headlights becoming visible.
I got out, grabbing two bags of supplies and walked over to the other side to get Enda.
" Take care." I told them.
" You too." Amanda said.
I put Enda's arm around my neck and started moving into the forest, my eyes and ears finally matching my now tunned in and bettered senses as we worked through the woods, finding a cave to lay him down on and clean up his wound.
" Stay here, I'll be back." I told him then messed with his hair.
