The Hunter Series: Aginst New Threats

Chapter 26

Chapter 26- New world, not new rules.

It didn't take me long to find and kill a deer and drag it back to the cave, and not very hard to get Enda to latch onto the dear's neck. 

He was done in a matter of seconds, gasping for air through his blood-covered mouth, his wounds instantly healing. 

" Can I have another?" He asked, putting his head against the cave wall. 

" I had no idea you were that hungry." I said, unpacking our things.  

His heavy breathing continued as I grabbed a rock that was sticking out of the side of the dirt wall and pulling it out, revealing a large rock that covered the entrance to the cave perfectly. 

" I'll be right back." I told him, moving the rock out of my way, then closed the cave entrance, then pulled it back open in a matter of seconds.

I'm in love with my new strength and speed. 

While he drank, I tuned into my hearing, listening to the group we were with being rescued, and of course scanning the area for those monsters.

Nothing. 

Enda pushed the dead carcass away from him, catching his breath as he whipped his mouth.

" Can you toss me something to eat?" He asked. 

I tossed him a bag of chips and some chocolate.

" Well move tomorow, give the military time to whip these things out." 

" Sounds like a plan." Enda said, opening the chips. 

The sounds of the creatures filled my ears all night until sunrise. 

I guess it's over. 

 We moved through the woods and looked at the carcass's of the monsters, then fell threw an unknown crack, landing in the Hunter's Association, Enda on top of me. 

" Where the hell were you too?" Zero asked as Enda helped me up.

" In a different dimension." Enda said as a siren sounded. 

I stumbled backwards as Cole kissed me deeply. I caught my breath when he broke it off.

" Hello to you too." I said. 

"You're never leaving my side ever again." 

" OK." I blurted.
