Light Guardian

To Solaria

Quick note, anytime I mention a hight in this book I mean at the shoulder, unless it's a humanoid. I. E. Fairy, anthro/furry ect.

   The four days passed quickly. The first three and a half days they spent with friends and family, telling them goodbye. From noon to around five o'clock of the last day, the five young mares spent packing. After which they each flew with their families in tow. The fillies agreed, before they went their separate ways, that they would meet up at the Glass Lagoon.
    Now Sam, with her immediate family following, flew toward the Lagoon. Roxana curled up in the saddle bag that held the chinchillas' favorite toy. Soon the Light family landed in the clearing where the five girls were attacked. The three families of the other four were already there, hugging their daughters.
   Mr. and Mrs. Lightheart hugged Izzy and Lizzy tightly. The youngest, a 7-year-old colt named Kion, stood on his hind legs in the middle of the four. Jordans' father's had their necks wrapped around her. Her twin siblings, a filly named Kayla and a colt named Rylie- both 6-years-old, nuzzled into her sides. Thelmas' mother hugged her only family close. Shane, Honey and Golden hugged Sam for the last time.
"Sei vorsichtig, Süße" Honey said. Her usually sweet voice -true to her name- somewhat tight with sadness.
"Ich werde Mama. Das verspreche ich"
   Not even a minute later an albino Stormcutter landed on the shore of the Lagoon, his tail skimmed the waters surface. Red eyes scanned over the 16 pygmy alicorns.
"Who are you" one of Jordan's fathers -Jaydeep Nihaad- asked the white beast.
"I am Ákos, and I was sent by Queen DiamondRays to bring the Light Guardian and her team to Solaria"
The five fillies in question walked up to the dragon, who towered over them. The dragon lowered himself so the girls could climb on his back.
"Climb on"
"Why, we can fly ourselves" Izzy questioned.
"Because you can not fly like me. Besides it's safer this way" Ákos explains. They climbed onto his back without any more questions. They bid their final goodbyes before Ákos turned and beat his four wings, propelling them up and above the giant trees.

   After a flash of light they saw the palace of Solaria, home to the royal family. Ákos descended and landed in the court yard where two alicorn stallions waited ( most male alicorns can grow up to 6ft5, unless they're high royals). The albino Stormcutter lowered himself again and the five fillies used their wings to softly land on the brick ground.
   Sam looked over the two stallions and noticed a few things. They both were lean, looking like they were built for speed. One was a pale blue with white hair and looked to be 6ft6. The other was black and white with black and white hair corresponding with his markings and looked to be the same height.
   The black and white stallion walked up to them. His black eyes glowed with warmth.
"Samantha Light" he asked. His voice was deep but still had a soft tone.
"That's me" Sam spoke up and stepped forward. Her head held high as she looked up at the stallion. She guessed from the fact that he didn't tower over her like Ákos did, that the albino had to be at least over 8 and a half feet.
"I'm Saxton, and this is Featherfall" he introduced himself and then motioned toward the stallion to his right.
"Please come with us, the king and queen are waiting. Ákos, you can go back to the SkyNest" Featherfall said as he walked toward the palace doors. Ákos grunted and turned and took to the sky then flew away.
   The fillies followed Featherfall and Saxton through the halls of the palace toward the Throne Room. Saxtons' voice brought Sams' attention away from looking around, "This is the Throne Room". She looked up at the doors that had two sandy colored Grapple Grounders on the sides. Featherfall nodded to the dragons. The dragons in turn opened the doors. Inside King SwordSun and Queen DiamondRays sat on their thrones with about five or six unicorns off to their sides. The king and queen are the second pair of rulers on Solaria, they over look the territory Grace Herd has on the world and the creatures who call it home. The first pair of rulers are King Brandon and Queen Stella, they over look the humans and Solarias' alliances with other worlds.
"My queen, the Light Guardian and her friends are here" one of the unicorns announced. The two alicorn royals looked up from their paperwork and to the doorway.
"Ah, good. Can you put these in my study, I'll attend to them later" Queen DiamondRays asked the unicorn before she stood up and walked to the seven alicorns. Her white coat glowed in the sunlight coming through the windows.
"Pygmy Forest Alicorns, my I haven't seen one in ages" Diamond spoke with a voice of a young mare, even though she was over 700-years-old. Featherfall and Saxton bowed their heads in respect.
"Wait your not going to say anything about our size" Lizzy said with genuine surprise. Her sister was about to smack her upside the head with her wing before the queens' chuckle stopped her.
"No. Here on Solaria we have Pygmy Mountain Alicorns, they live in the Sky Mountains away from others. Like your kind do.

    Over an hour later and the girls rested in their house near the palace. Diamond put them up in a four bedroom house with quite a bit of land near the palace so it would be easier for her to train them and they lived away from the town. She told them that Ákos would be staying and training with them as well.
   The girls spent a good 20 to 30 minutes deciding who got what room. Izzy and Lizzy already agreed to share a room, there for they got the master bedroom, much to their disapproval. For the other three it was pretty much a free for all. The last three rooms were basically the same size so it didn't really matter who got which.
   Sam ended up picking the room above the master. Jordan picked the room above the dining room, at the front of the house -there was a hallway between their rooms. Thelma got the room next to Sams' and above the living room -a bathroom between.

   I put my bags on the light blue sheets of my full size bed in my new room. Roxana quite literally launched out of the bag, with he small teddy bear in her little arms, and ran and jumped around on the bed.
"Oh, Roxy, you silly chinchilla" I laughed at her energy.
