Sam
I laughed loudly as I jumped from one cloud to another. Thelma flew about five feet above me, laughing at me. I looked up at her, running under her shadow, and pushed myself to run faster. The edge of the cloud was coming up and a very small and thin one after. I jumped and dived through the small cloud. I spread my yellow, purple, and magenta wings quickly after and flew back up next to Thelma.
"Having fun" she giggled, I just rolled my eyes and flew ahead of her.
After a while we landed in front of the house, Ákos lied asleep under the bonsai tree nearby. The sound of our wings must've woke him up. His bright red eyes opened and he yawned, showing off his very sharp teeth.
"Why didn't you two come home last night" he asked.
"We ended up falling asleep on the cliff over looking the Utraya mokri I found" Thelma said, walking onto the wraparound porch.
"Ah, I forgot there was one nearby" he hummed.
Inside
"What should we tell the others" I asked.
"About where we were or about us" she questioned, walking into my room.
"Both I guess" I sighed looking at Roxana through the bars of her cage.
"Where's your hair brush at"
"Top drawer" she used her magic to open the top drawer of my nightstand.
"We could tell them about us after breakfast" she said as she brushed out some loose tangles from her hair.
"Yea, good idea" Roxana opened her eyes and squeaked at me. I opened the door and she jumped out, clung to my neck, then nestled into the space between my wings.
"That chinchilla really loves you Sam" Thelma chuckled.
"Well yea, I did raise her" I giggled. I looked at the clock on my nightstand that read 5:56. 'The others won't be up for awhile' I layed down on my bed next to Thelma.
We stayed in my bed for about 20-25 minutes before we went back downstairs. The two of us are usually the first ones up anyway. We started making a simple breakfast, enough for all 19 of us. I smelled and saw the other werewolves and such when we walked through the door.
A little after 6:30, the ones in the living room -the three anthros and three pygmies- woke up. Keith, Liam, and Sally -the anthro wolves- woke up with their noses in the air, obviously smelling the bacon.
"Mmm. Smells good" Sally sat up, pulling her long white -that faded to blue- hair over her shoulder, running her fingers through it.
"Where did you two run off to last night" Keith sat up.
"I took her to the Utraya mokri I found nearby" Thelma didn't look away from the pancakes she was making.
"I didn't know know there was one around here" Liam mumbled from his spot on the floor.
"Yeah, I found it on one of my flights a couple days ago. We ended up falling asleep on the cliff above the tree" she put the bacon on a big plate.
It wasn't until 6:50 that the other finally woke up and came downstairs. Jackie -one of the vampires- was the first of the group of 11 people to notice that Thelma and me were home.
"Hey, what happened to you two last night"
"We ended up sleeping under the stars" I said.
Third
While the group of seven different creatures ate, Sam and Thelmas' feathers kept twitching. Jordan, surprisingly, was the first to notice but she didn't say anything yet. Though as soon as they finished eating she burst.
"Why are you two so twitchy" she started at the two mares waiting for some response. The two, in turn, shared a look.
"We have some good news" Thelma didn't take her eyes off Sam as she spoke.
"Whaaaat" Izzy asked. Knowing that this must be pretty big for two of her best friends to keep it from them.
"We.are.dating" Sam couldn't keep the smile off her muzzle. Everyones' jaws dropped and they didn't say anything until Thelma and Sam bursted, laughing till Sam complained that her stomach was starting to hurt. It took almost a full minute before the two calmed down, for the most part at least.
"You... should've seen.... seen the look... on y'alls faces" Sam had to stop a few times to breathe. Thelma nodded, she was still trying to catch her breath.
"I knew it! Pay up sis" Lizzy yelled ruffling her feathers, Izzy grumbled something under her breath, then gave her little sister ten bucks.
In the end, after a little explaining, everyone was happy for the two. The day after the five PFA's continued their training with the Queen.
