Chapter 11...This is not Clue

(Dawson's P.O.V.)

Damien and I slowly opened the door hoping not to wake any of the kids up. Luckily they were still asleep. All knocked out on one of the beds. It was actually pretty sweet.

I looked around and didn't see Danielle. Maybe she's out on the balcony. I went to go check. Sliding the glass door aside, I look out on the balcony to find no one.

Okay maybe she's in the bathroom. I turned around and headed back inside.

"Damien, is Danielle in the bathroo-"

Damien was holding up a piece of paper, and the look in his eyes was one of heartbreak. It looked like someone had just kicked him in the balls, but ten times worse.

"What is that Damien?" I asked.

"Dawson, I don't know how to tell you this," Damien stuttered.

"What the hell is it Damien," I whispered bitterly.

"It's a note from Danielle. She left," Damien stated. I reached for the note in seconds flat and read it for myself.

Dawson,

I've left the kids in your hands. Please keep them safe and remind them that I love them every day. I can't do "this" anymore. I need some "help". That's why I've "left".

She left. She actually left me. She left the kids?

Something wasn't adding up here.

I read the note again. It didn't make sense.

"Daddy, where's Mommy?" Sadie whined as she was waking up. Oh shit. I couldn't handle this right now.

"Hey, princess, um Mommy's went to relax for a little bit. Your Daddy bought her a spa treatment because she was so stressed out. And she had to go away for it," Damien stated brushing the hair out of Sadie's eyes.

"When we'll she be back?" Sadie asked tears rolling down her little face.

"Soon, Baby Girl," Damien stated then tucked Sadie back in bed.

What were we going to do?

Danielle, I know I can be an asshole, but why did you leave this time? We could have worked this out.

I couldn't believe I was actually in the car with this, this Rodent! He just kept smiling at me every once in awhile, but I had no clue where we were going.

I had asked multiple times, but his one reply was Baby don't worry they'll never be able to find us. This scared the shit out of me.

"Baby, I gotta piss, you gonna stay in the car?" Andrew asked. I just nodded my headed and smiled. I had to force my smiles because I just really wanted to cry right now. "Well, I don't want you to be running off so." And the he hand cuffed me to the steering-wheel.

Where the hell did those come from?

I was totally in over my head. Why did I agree to this again. Oh that's right because he has a freaking gun!

Lord, I know it's been a while since our last chat. But please get me out of this alive. I'm begging you Lord.

(Damien's P.O.V.)

I was searching all over the room for evidence, a clue, something to explain why Danielle just left. Her purse was gone, none of her clothes, and the note even written weirdly. She had used quotation marks around words where she wasn't quoting anything.

Wait a second.

"Dawson, did you notice these words?" I shouted eagerly. He just looked at me scolding me.

"Shhh, I'm rocking Ross to sleep," Dawson whispered. "And what words?"

"Danielle, she put quotation marks around 'this' 'help' and 'left'," I whispered back. "And she didn't take any of her clothes. The only thing she took was her purse."

"So she was mad, Damien, she wanted to get out here so she did," Dawson sighed.

"Does she have the app find my phone?" I asked quickly. I'm a genius.

"Damien will you just drop it? I have bigger things to worry about, like trying to figure out what I'm going to tell my kids when they wake up and ask where their Mommy is," Dawson stated on the verge of crying. I knew he was tired and panicking. So I just left him alone, and decided I'd figure it out by myself.

I went downstairs to the lobby and called the one man I knew that could help me hack someone's phone. My Daddy.

I woke up and Damien wasn't to be found. And honestly I didn't have time to care. Today I was taking the kids to hollywood studios, and I was going to try to stall them as much as I could. I still didn't know what I was going to tell them about Danielle.

Hey kids your mother left us because she hates me, and she never loved me. But you have to suffer because of it.

I knew that wasn't the true reason, but I couldn't think straight. I also had a killer hangover from the night before. That'll teach me to drink my sorrows away like a frat boy.

"Daddy, Mommy is missing everything, stupid spa," Hudson stated bitterly crossing his arms.

Yeah Bud, Mommy's missing a lot.
