Jack and Daniel leave the now half packed bedroom, Jack immediately rushing to Lavender. The short half hour he was away from her seemed far too long to the brunette. Lavender looks up at her dad with wide, curious eyes as he looks back with the widest smile he's ever had. Daniel watches Jack and Lavender stare at each other with a smile of pride. Just as Lavender is almost asleep in her father's arms, Logan, Brendan, Jake, Kade, and Eben walk in.
Jack groans and walks into the kitchen to start making Lavender a bottle.
The five guys, feeling guilty, stay in the living room, talking to the others. Jack returns, feeding Lavender as he walks.
"Hey, J. How are you doing?" Logan asks.
"I'm fine, thanks," the brunette answers.
Nobody believes him, but they don't dare push the topic.
They all sit and talk for hours, Jack not putting Lavender down for a second.
"Babe, let me take her so you can relax," Daniel suggests.
"No," is all Jack says.
"Jack y-"
"No, Daniel. I am not putting her down," he says in a more stern voice.
"Alright. Okay, babe. At least try to relax, baby," the boy responds.
The friendgroup all shared worried glances at Jack's mini outburst. Out of nowhere, Jack leaves and goes to the nursery.
"That was odd," Zach says.
"Well, he lost the mother of his child. I think its his new normal for a while," Jonah says.
"How do we help him?" Brendan asks.
"I don't know. I'm going to go check on him," Daniel says, following the path Jack had taken.
As he nears the nursery, he hears Jack's voice.

"Beautiful," Daniel whispers quietly, causing the other male to turn with a sad smile.
Jack sets Lavender down in her crib, quickly picking her back up.
"Baby, let her be," Daniel says.
"No," Jack says.
"Ba-"
"No! She is not leaving my arms. Not now, not ever. She already lost her mother. I can't let her lose me, too. I'm all she has!"
