Finding a mate is the most amazing moment for a werewolf. But Sierra is an exception.

"Oh really. You think you are that pup's mate? Fine. Go on, try rejecting me and you will find out that I am your mate when your wolf screams out in pain. No matter your age, your wolf definitely recognises me as your mate. The wolf side matures before the human side for any werewolf. So just try it babe. You will understand then," smirks Fenris making me doubt myself.

Should I say those rejection sentences? What do I do? I look around me. There is no one around only thick trees which are obviously not going to help me.

I stand there thinking hard about it. It seems cruel to utter the rejection words even when I am sure that I am not his mate. There must be something psychologically wrong with him. His mate must look like me that must be the only reason for him to mistaken me as his mate.

Me taking time to think seems to make him happy as he starts grinning and coming towards me with a glint in his eye.

"See baby. I knew it. Your wolf recognises me as your mate right. It's okay. Don't worry. We will sort out all the misunderstandings of Aztec being your mate. He will understand," he croons as he comes closer with each sentence.

Getting scared of his intentions I quickly and loudly mutter out the rejection words.

"I, Sierra Boris of the Samara Pack reject you, Fenris Lupu from the Mystic Shadow pack as my soulmate and better half." He stops in his tracks. I do not feel any kind of pain but a nagging feeling that I have done some ultimate crime.

Being an adopted child of the pack, Fenris has always felt like an outsider. Being rejected by his mate along with a murder case to solve, triggers Fenris to find answers about his past. He learns that his parents were murdered by a rogue. Meanwhile Sierra has fallen prey to that same rogue's tricks. Will Fenris avenge his parents death? Will he find his answers or will he lose his mate to the murderer of his parents?
