Louis was sitting in a local pub sipping on a beer. Niall and Liam hadn't shown up yet but he was a bit early so it was okay. He hadn't slept much last night. The thought of Harry's plump lips on his own had kept him awake at first. The despair of knowing that Harry couldn't be his kept him up for the rest of the night. He had fallen asleep when the sun started to come up.

"Hi mate!" Louis looked up to find a happy Niall.

The boys sat down and Louis and Liam shook hands. Niall got up to order them a round of beers and Liam and Louis small talked in the meantime.

They went through half of the evening before Louis finally asked the question he was dying to ask.
"So Liam, you are a doctor..."

"What gave me away? The monocular?" Liam chuckled.

Louis laughed before he picked up his topic again. He looked around to make sure no one was listening to their conversation. The coast was clear. "If a person has episodes where he zones out and is unreachable for a while...can that be caused by something physical?"

Niall and Liam exchanged a look before Liam answered.
"I can't discuss specific patients Louis."

"Hypothetically! What can those specific symptoms be?"

Liam cleared his voice.
"Purely hypothetically, several things. It could be something neurological for example epilepsy."

Louis got excited. Yes!
"So, still hypothetically of course, why wouldn't that be out ruled as a possibility before a psychological diagnose was determent?

"Erhm, hypothetically I guess that the Doctor who made that call had good reasons to." Liam answered.

"Would you have made the same call?" Louis asked, staring Liam down.

Liam shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
"I don't know."

"Wouldn't you like to make sure that this hypothetical patient really had the right diagnoses?" Louis continued.

"Bloody hell, stop it with that hypothetically bullshit!" Niall snapped.
"Liam, he has a point. I haven't been able to get through to him. A few tests would actually help him accept his diagnosis when the tests he never got to do comes back negative. Maybe he finally will take his medication then."

Well, not what he was going for but he took what he could get to find out what was wrong with Harry.
"Great idea!"

Liam stared between them with a stern face.
"Fine."

"Next round on me!" Louis grinned happily.

Liam wasn't dropping the subject just yet.
"Just be careful Louis."

Louis gulped nervously and decided to play dumb.
"I don't know what you mean."

Liam gave him a knowing look.
"Yes, you do. Don't make me say it."

"Fine. You don't have to worry. I keep to the rules." Louis sighed.

"Good." Liam answered and relaxed.

Louis held his head down on the way to the bar. He felt ashamed. The unbelievable kiss lingered in his mind. He had crossed the line. He straightens his neck. No, it was worth it.

---------------
On Monday he ran to work. He was an hour early. He couldn't just wait at home any longer. He needed to tell Harry the news!

"Hi, Louis. You're early, couldn't wait to see me?" Eleanor cooed and batted her eyelashes.

"Busy!" Louis shouted and ran past her without as much as a look.

He had never changed into his work outfit as fast as he did now. He didn't run inside the ward but he walked really fast until he reached room 28. He knocked lightly on the door but didn't wait for an answer before he pushed the door open. His eyes fell on the sleeping man in the bed and he broke out in a soft smile. He walked over and hunched down. He started to run his fingers through Harry's soft curls.
"Wake up Baby. I have something to tell you."

Harry's eyelids fluttered before he slowly opened his beautiful green eyes. His face broke out in a happy smile when he saw Louis.
"Looouuuu..." He breathed out.

"Hi, beautiful. I'm sorry I woke you up. Scooch over." Louis said softly with sparkling eyes.

"Are you sure? Someone might come in." Harry hesitated but moved closer to the wall.

"Just wanna snuggle you for a second." Louis whispered and laid down. He opened his arms and Harry put his head on Louis's chest. Louis wrapped his arms around him and held him close.

They laid like that for a couple of risky minutes before Louis finally let go with a sigh. Harry moved away and they both sat up.
"You wanted to tell me something?" Harry said, yawned, and stretched his arms over his head. Louis found him adorable. He ruffled Harry's curls with a smile before he answered.

"I have convinced Dr. Payne and Dr. Horan to run some tests on you to see what's causing your episodes."

Harry's mouth fell open in shock.
"W..what? H..how?" He stuttered.

"I can be very convincing." Louis winked.

Harry threw himself in Louis's arms and hugged him hard.
"Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Oh my God!"

Louis hugged him back. When they broke free Harry was beaming. Louis got worried.
"Harry they might not find anything. I don't want it to destroy you if they don't."

"One day at a time Lou. One day." Harry winked.

Louis just had to brush their lips together quickly. He was going to hell anyway.
"You're so precious Hazza."

"So are you." Harry answered emotionally.

Louis went to check on his other patients and Harry laid down on his bed again just daydreaming. Finally!
Someone had finally believed him. Louis. Harry's heart fluttered.
