Chapter 22

3rd PoV

"Where is she?!" The chief of police yelled at Keith.

"Who?" Keith asked calmly.

"You know who! Y/N! Where is she!" Mason continued to yell.

"In case you don't recall, I've been in a cell for the past week. Weren't you the last of us to talk to her?" Keith asked.

Mason turned red with anger as he huffed. "You listen here, Kogane. I know what you've done to her and I have all the evidence I need to get your sorry ass on death row. Tell me. Where is she?"

"Like I said, I don't know," Keith answered.

"How can you not know! Hasn't she visited you!" Mason screamed.

"She's probably too scared to," Keith shrugged. "I would be too if I had to come face my crazy ex-boss."

1st POV

"We need a lawyer, the best of the best," Coran said.

"Yeah, but we're enemies of the law, who's going to represent them?" Allura asked.

"I think I may know a guy. It's a long shot, but he has a team of people ready to defend anyone. And he's really good at what he does," I chimed in.

Allura and I made our way back to HQ and immediately told Coran everything. We almost immediately sat down and started coming up with a plan, but we haven't been able to get far.

"Then call him! Please! We need to get them back safely!!" Allura instructed.

When that was said, the dinging of the elevator was heard. Confused, we looked up to be met with Lotor. I glared at the man in front of me and was about to get up but Coran stopped me before I could. Allura got up before me.

"How dare you show your face here!" Allura yelled. "Who the hell do you think you are!" Allura was poking Lotor's chest.

"I did what I had to for us. For you and me, our love!" Lotor tried to reason. "Y/N will tell you! She was helping me!"

Allura and Coran turned to me with horror struck on their face. My eyes went wide with shock.

"Okay, okay. Can I explain myself without him present?" I asked.

"No. Explain yourself with your partner in crime in the same room!" Allura yelled at me.

"Okay, okay," I started. "I'll have to start from the beginning." I looked at Coran and Allura to see their faces. They were still glaring.

Before I could continue, Allura directed Lotor to a chair and forced him to sit after tying his hands with zip ties.

"So, I was in the hallway on my way to Keith's room when this thing met with me. He was all like 'So you and Keith are a thing?' And I was like 'What?' And he was like 'Good, that means I won't have to take him out.' And then he threatened Lance, proclaimed his undying love for you, Allura, and Keith met up with us and we had to act like we were a thing. When Lotor left, I dragged Keith to his room and I was like 'Lotor isn't good people- he band bad,' and then Keith was like 'Well what do we do?' And then I was like, 'We need evidence.' So we came up with a plan to get evidence from him without him knowing so I had to get close with Lotor and record everything said, but I didn't get anything good so that plan failed," I explained. "He honestly kept asking me how to get closer to you, Allura."

"Why didn't you just come to us?" Allura asked.

"You were too blinded by love to see any bad in this princely- thing. Lance would've blown our cover. I wouldn't have known Pidge, Hunk, or Shiro's reaction," I explained. "If you'd like the proof, I can get you the recordings of what went on when I was with Lotor."

"You tricked me!" Lotor stood up, outraged.

"Shut up, Lotor! You're just as bad as your father!" Allura yelled at the man.

"What did you just say?" Lotor asked.

"You're. Just. As. Bad. As. Your. Father," Allura said nice and slow.

"You'll regret that, Allura." Lotor broke out of his zip ties and walked over to the elevator. "You'll regret ever breaking my heart."

A/N: So hi sorry for the short chapter. I'm writing this like very late (for me at least, I'm usually asleep by 9:30 and it 10:30 right now) SO MY WHOLE PLAN EVER SINCE MY LAST CHAPTER WAS TO UPDATE MORE FREQUENTLY BUT ima be honest, these past months have been trash for me. The past few weeks especially- very stressful too, we love finals.
BUT Ik I say this often, but ima try and update more, especially since this book is close to being done.
