"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides."

Tension settled down in the room like a heavy layer of mist fogging the minds of the present witches and wizard as they pondered on a solution seeing the state of the young brunette and blonde. The screams and cries of both the patients, the muffliato charm long since having lost its effect, burst the eardrums of the other three people present in the room trying to think of a solution.

Blaise felt terrible watching his friend in worse torture than the cruciato curse. He felt awful seeing his face twist in agony, beads of sweat dripping down the side of his forehead and the tattoo on his chest, now finished and glowing brightly, seemed like a phoenix formed with beautiful colors binded into one. He noticed the dragon tattoo on Hermione's, who was still upturned and laying on her stomach, back neck region visible.

"Mr. Zabini, did you have any prior knowledge of Mr. Malfoy's ancestry and heredity?" Professor McGonagall questioned as they both eyed the frantic Madam Pomfrey work similarly as she had with Hermione with Draco.

"Yes Professor. He told me on our first morning here as well as Granger being his..."

"Mate? It does seem hard to believe. Mrs. Malfoy wrote to me explaining Mr. Malfoy's condition, but I never expected his mate to be in Hogwarts even so, least of all Miss Granger."McGonagall added heaving a sign and looking at the plight of two of her brightest students.

"But why are you not doing anything? Don't you see how much pain they are in? Can't you do something about it?" Blaise questioned angrily despaired at his helplessness.

"There is not much knowledge about Veelas known to wizards. They are some of the oldest magical creatures and a topic of curiosity because they are as deadly as they are beautiful. They are charmed with weapons unknown and live in seclusion away from the world or in hiding because they possess powers which if misused can cause unparalleled destruction. They are proud creatures who bow down before only one person, whom they cherish the most, their mate."She answered continuing "There is less to no information about the mating process of the Veelas except the most common of facts which include the bond process which both Veela and his mate undergoes." McGonagall explained ignoring the rude tone of the boy given the circumstances.

For the third time, the doors banged open as Madam Pince made her way into the infirmary with a few huge, seemingly ancient volumes of books in her hands.

She immediately slammed the books on the table, picked the topmost one and opened it to a certain page holding it before the Headmistress.

"Headmistress I looked for information on Veelas as you asked me to and I did gain some knowledge. The pain will only be healed if they are in contact with one another. Somehow after the first skin contact, they must have shared a kiss causing the bond process to begin. They need to be in the constant company of one another and their skin contacts will heal them. They will weaken if they are separated for too long feeling extreme pain and eventually die from heartbreak." she explained gravely stunning the others into silence until Madam Pomfrey stood up and replaced the utensils in her hands with her wand.

With a flick of her wrist, she levitated Hermione, floating the writhing and screaming girl to Draco's bed and laid her down beside him. Almost as if they were conscious and perfectly in control of their senses Draco turned around wrapping Hermione in his arms and they both stopped screaming and writhing in agony lying peacefully with a look of serenity washing their faces of the grimace and pain.

"Looks like they are going to be each others healers in the future."

"They are going to be just fine."

With that McGonagall dismissed Zabini to his dorm room with a firm voice leaving no room for arguments and retired to bed along with the other two teachers leaving the two mates alone in peace.
