"Love is so unpredictable. Sometimes you'll know a man for years and then one day, boom! Suddenly you see him in a different way. And other times, it's that first date, that first moment. That's what makes it so great."
~Sarah Dessen

It's a bright October morning, the season of fall exhibiting its utmost beauty through the fallen leaves and the yellow, deciduous trees.
The drop in temperature from the warm summer to freezing winter has become more apparent as the autumn days pass.
The sun shone brightly, providing heat to the life below, but that didn't stop the frosty winds from breezing and causing teeth to chatter. The chirping of birds rung out in the silence, nature rejoicing the stillness.
But not for long.
As the gates opened, groups of students escaped from under the teachers' nose to the little village located northwest of the school.
Hogsmeade Village, famous as the only settlement in Britain inhabited solely by wizards, witches, and other magical beings, is also the spot for weekend outings for students of the third year and above of Hogwarts.
Dressed in plain warm muggle clothes, Hermione and Draco made their way out the gates silently, an awkward tension between them. Both had rejected their friends today with the same excuse, readymade plans. Understanding the hidden meaning, their friends were no less, not even trying to hide their smirks as they pretended to be oblivious.
After Hermione had spoken with her friends, the three had met Draco individually at their times. With plenty of threats and warnings, they talked some and let him off with good wishes.
So, it's safe to say things were relaxed and neutral between them, if not better. Greetings here and there, boy talk and a few jokes, Hermione was glad to see them getting along.
As the two proceeded down their path in silence, there was anything but in their minds. Wrapped in their turmoil of insecurities, it seemed like they refused to acknowledge the other's presence.
It was a first, after all, for both of them.
How time had passed, they both were oblivious to it, unaware of the evolution their relation was having.
The long nights spent talking and playing their own weird 'smart people' versions of well-known games. The random debates, and arguments they entered over small insignificant topics. The weirdly cute and adorable sharing of moments that occurred unknown to them while they remained wrapped in their bubble was different. They were comfortable and without any restrictions on a title attached to them.
Unlike those moments when they casually relaxed, this was more serious.
Where will it put them only time can tell?
"Where to?" Draco voiced his question as they stopped in their tracks to see the hustle and bustle in the streets of the small village.
"Uhh...?" Hermione blinked, ill-prepared for the question.
As she was going to try and answer, her eyes caught the sight of something, turning for her to get a better look. Draco followed her gaze, his questioning expression morphing into one of awkwardness.
"There?" he asked uncertainty lacing his tone.
"There," Hermione confirmed her usual calm and confident demeanor long gone, replaced with unnatural skittishness.
