With new ideas up my sleeve I am back to make this story better and worth your while!
Drama's about to begin-

Zander Steven has always been a wall-flower for as long as he can remember. Growing up in an orphanage for young wizards and witches, he never got to know about his parents. If they were alive or dead if he was a half-blood or a pure-blood and neither did he have the fortune of receiving any parental affection from the guardians at the orphanage.
With dirty brown hair, soul-less bead-like eyes, and a skinny body, he was usually ignored for the most part, until someone singled him out, in which case he was then exploited as free labor and a punching bag. Used to being ignored and bullied, Zander continued living a monotonous life with no hope. He learned the basics of magic arts taught at the orphanage to all the children since they were too poor to afford to send them all to school.
At a very young age, Zander learned the importance of money and power as he witnessed the survival of the strongest and the pathetic lives of weaklings, who lived as slaves- used and discarded like worthless beings, lower than dirt. He swore to himself he would not become a coward and a pushover. He would rise to the top and become the strongest so that no one will ever be able to bully him.
It's common for poor children to work part-time to support their family and themselves, but when a seven-year-old knocks the door of a local bookshop asking for a job and not a book, it's hard to take him seriously.
In the end, the bookstore owner gave in to Zander's requests after seeing his unrelenting persistence. He was impressed by the diligent kid, who turned out to be quite the star. Hard-working, obedient, and smart, it wasn't hard for the old store owner, who was an insightful man and has been a teacher in his youth, to identify the boy for the gem he was. He foretold that this boy would grow up to do great deeds, though good or evil, he didn't give mind to that thought.
Whenever Zander could, he would read. Whatever books he could get his hands on, dark arts, charms, history of magic, magical herbology- he would get lost in them, his mind entirely concentrated on the crisp, white pages enriched with knowledgeable words.
The old man accepted him as a student, tutoring him in all possible subjects as well as increasing his knowledge of magic. He taught Zander all he knew and more, learning special courses himself to be able to teach them to him. Under his guidance, Zander improved exponentially and grew over-confident in his abilities, for there was no one other than those brawny bullies to compare himself with, and they were not very gifted in the brains department.
When Voldemort had returned, he had come in search of Zander's orphanage and left it in smithereens. No one knew why. It just happened in the blink of an eye.
Those children who survived were divided and sent to different destinations by the ministry.
The old bookstore owner took in the homeless orphan. After the war was over, he exhausted his limited resources and connections to get Zander into Hogwarts.
The boy who always thought himself to be a rare genius was in for a rude awakening. When Zander arrived at Hogwarts, it didn't take him long to realize, if he was good, there were some who were better.
Even with his sharp brain and good base knowledge, he had to spend a considerable amount of time with his books, yet it wasn't enough. Try however much he may, he couldn't beat the school toppers.
The proud Slytherin that he was, his chest burned every time he saw that Gryffindor princess surpass him. He believed himself to be a prodigy; born with a brain that could help him reach the peak, to become the strongest. It was hard for him to digest that he could lose to a girl, a Gryffindor, a muggle born.
What made him even more furious was the fact that he wasn't good enough to be even second place, or third. Both were taken by the two Slytherins, present in the great hall, standing in front of him.
This boy who has been treated with inferiority for the majority of his life wanted to turn around the tables. Zander wanted to hold superiority and be the mightiest out of everyone else. His hunger for power and his confidence in his capabilities fueled his ambitious desires, and he saw friends as well as enemies alike as only hurdles in his path.
It didn't miss his glance the way the Slytherin Prince treated Granger. He detested it. Zander didn't think Malfoy was a loyal Death-eater. The feats he had heard about from his fellow Slytherins didn't seem to match the actions of the current Draco Malfoy.
He didn't voice it out loud, but Zander idolized Voldemort, the person who was able to invoke such fear in people that many still don't dare to say his name. He worshipped the nose-less villain, and his end deeply grieved him.
Therefore, he decided to stick his nose into the business of the 'Boy-who-lived' and the 'war-hero.'
It came as a happy surprise to him when he found all his foes to be closely acquainted with each other.
'Makes it easier and more stimulating to destroy them.'
When he watched the little scene playing out from the shadows, he couldn't help but be amused by the antics of the 'Pure-blooded' wizard.
With Pansy Parkinson, her crony Astoria Greengrass and Theodore Nott- strong supporters of 'He-who-must-not-be-named' or rather, 'he-who-died-a-nose-less-death,' and brainless disposable pawns that he had collected in Hogwarts, he stepped out of the shadows.
It was time to up the game.
