Superhero

Tom's POV

It's another day, another city, another interview.
I wake up and get dressed for the ACE Comic Con later in the day, with a full black out fit and top it off with my brown boots.

(A.N. I know at this point- in reality: 22/10/2019- Thomas had gotten a buzz cut, but in this story he still has his 'Peter Parker' hair.)

I hear a knock on the door, and Harry calls out to me that he's 'got the door'. Well he's up early. I look to the dressing table I'm the room, at my phone and eventually go up to it and check the time.
8:49. Hmm.

I walk into the living room, and I'm greeted with a friendly good morning from Jake.
" Where's Harry?" I say while going into the kitchen and warming up some of the leftover pizza from yesterday.
-" On a call. From home." Jake says while putting on his shoes.

-" You ready, Tom? We're gonna leave in like 10 minutes." I nod to Jake, my mouth too full of cheese and pizza base to use words. Man, I love Chicago pizza.

-"We got Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal joining us today!" The interviewer says to the audience and- trust me when I say- they goes crazy! Everyone's cheering as I make my way up on stage and I can't help but feel the widest smile gradually forming on my face. It's majorly overwhelming. But it's incredible. "Thank you, thanks guys." I show my appreciation and head over to Jake whose already made himself comfortable on his chair.

-" Welcome to Comic Con, guys," The interviewer says as she gestures to the audience who cheer again.
The next half and hour continues with her asking us questions, fan questions as well as her own and us answering back, talking about our up coming projects and films and of course she brings up the lip sync battle, of course.

-"And we have one last question for you before you leave. What is your definition of a superhero? "
To which I immediately answer:
"Jake Gyllenhaal." I joke and laughter erupts throughout the room. "He flies! He really does!" And Jake's giggling to himself, hiding his face in his hand. " But I think it's someone who does something selflessly for someone else, you know? Whether it's a school teacher who stays behind after class to help a kid struggling, or- you know- a nurse who puts in an extra shift, or, umm, a soldier or someone who really, really looks out for other people without asking for anything in return... I think that's, for me, what really defines a hero.

You know talking about this reminds me of just last week, I was still in London and we were shooting for a promotion video for Spider-Man: Far From Home. And I took a break from set, you know, coz it can get stressful at times. So I was walking down the street and it started raining really heavy! So I was running to a sheltered area. And while i was running I bumped into this very lovely girl, and she was standing infront of this really old lady who was on the street- she was homeless. And I know this is bad but I eavesdropped on their conversation. Turns out that girl, bought the old lady a cup of coffee, because it was so cold. And then furthermore- now I'm telling you, it was freezing- but this selfless girl took off her jacket and gave it away to the lady on the street! Just like that! And I was so amazed and so surprised at what she'd just done. And obviously the lady refused, but that girl insisted and I remember the lie she told the lady. She said she loved the cold. Then she walked away and I followed her. Okay, I know, that sounds creepy, but I had to know more about it. Funny enough when I turned towards her, she was literally shivering herself to death I tell you! And obviously I gave her one of my jackets- because it was so cold I had two on- as she waited for her someone to fetch her and take her home.

If anything, it's That Girl who's the true definition of a superhero."
