Tom's POV

-"Make it fast, would ya, mate!" Harrison screams out from his car jokingly, as I'm walking up to him.

Harrison Osterfield.
Nickname: Haz. Age: 22.
Job Status: Employed.
Job Description: Actor/ Model/ Part-time Assistant.
Relationship status: Complicated.

"I'm coming, mate, chill. We literally have all day!" I shout back.
-"I know that. But I'd like to make the most of it! It's not all the time that I get to spend time with you." I jump in and we do our stupid handshake we made up when we were kids, but has always been fun to do.
"Let's go, mate."

Time passed by and we decided what's better to bond over other than food! So we're going to Nando's - mine and Harrison's favourite restaurant.
-"Um, I'll have a... Cheesy-Chicken burger, some peri-peri wedges. Not too hot, please. And a bottle Grapetiser. What d'ya want, Tom?"
"Uh, I'll have half chicken, medium spice. Peri-peri chips as well. Umm, and some pita bread. And a water please."
The lady at the front desk, takes down our order and repeats it to us, just to be certain. Then we go and get ourselves a table and await our precious dishes.

We get down to talking. He tells about his newest offer and the projects he's working on. Then we talk a little more about Chaos Walking- the new movie I've been working my arse off for a year and a half, where we shared the screen actually. I'm quite excited for everyone to see it. It's one of my best, I feel. I tell him about Comic Con in Chicago and here it comes, just when I had forgotten about it...
-"Yeah, I saw the interview. That girl sounds like a solid one. Have you seen her again?"

The memories flood back, and I can't help but smile when I picture it again. It's a bit blurry now, though, but I still remember exactly how everything went. The only other thing I remember was thinking: "Kind and beautiful."

"Actually, Haz, I haven't. And you know what's the sad part? Is the fact that when I asked for her name, she didn't tell me. I was like hey, I didn't catch your name and she was like yeah, I didn't throw it! It was quite funny at the time, but in actuality I legit got rejected! I actually kinda forgot about it until you brought it up. And I feel guilty now. I should have remembered it, it was important."
Harrison has a grin on his face and he's looking at me weird.
"What, mate?"
-"Nothing, nothing." He shakes his head laughing. -" It's just I've never seen you so frustrated yet smile that wide talking about a girl." He points out and only now I've realised that I'm smiling so wide that my cheeks are starting to hurt. That's Embarrassing.

But I don't even try to hide my face this time because Haz is another kind of guy. He's more mature, more wise, you know? I still try to deny it though...
"I mean yeah, Haz, she's a kind person." I shrug.
-" Yeah, right." He chuckles, sarcasm is laced in his words. He doesn't believe me, either!
"It's true, mate! I told you, I even forgot about her until you brought it up! I can't like someone I only ever met once." Can I? Do I?

-" Okay, alright, Tom I believe you. You can stop denying it..." He jokes.
His mouth says one thing but I can tell he doesn't mean a single word.

"Whatever, mate." I shake my head and roll my eyes, still smiling to myself.

Where's our food?

And just on cue, I see a waiter walk over to us, and once he reaches us, he sets down our dishes and leaves us to our food, after thanking him.

-"So the party on Friday. You sorted for it yet?" Haz asks digging into his burger.

"Yeah, I guess. I have a fitting tomorrow for my suit and all that. So I guess I'm pretty sorted." I take a bite of my own food. Mmmmmmmm... Delicious. "I still have to bring a plus one. And I was supposed to take Harry but him and Tuwaine have plans on that night. Do you wanna come? It'll be great. We could spend so much more time together before I leave for L.A. again." I try to persuade him.
-" Oh, yeah, sure. Diane and I were supposed to go to the movies on that night, but things were starting to get heated up between us again. We're not on speaking terms at the moment." That's gotta suck. I just simply nod my head, though. -"I don't know about it anymore, Tom. This whole relationship thing is not working out as well as I'd hoped. Diane's confused about it also. It doesn't feel right anymore, you know? Like we're only together for the sake of it. But we've been through so much to be together. I don't think I can let that go. She'll be so upset if we split. So disappointed."

That's Harrison for you. Always wanting to keep the peace between everyone. Smiley Haz that's always there to help you and care for you. He really goes through alotta shit. I feel bad. He's too hard on himself sometimes, trying to keep everyone happy, taking in more pressure than he can actually handle.

"Maybe give it some time, Haz. I'm sure she'll come around. Come one you guys used to be best friends! I'm certain you can work it out. You could be the bigger man and apologize?" I more or less 'ask' rather than 'say'. "Or at least talk to her or nothing's gonna be resolved."

Another thing about my best mate. He's stubborn to the core! Ain't no way he's gonna be the one to apologize! I don't even know why I suggested it...

-"So Friday then?" He grins and lets out an small laugh.
