The day of Jason Blossom's funeral was coming. To many its a symbol of closure but for Yasmine its the last chance to say goodbye to the last person she loved. Part of Yasmine didn't even know if she wanted to go but the other part of her knew she had to. That is what led to her wandering the halls in search of one of her friends. If Yasmine had any chance of making it through the wake she had to have someone there to support her. She would even accept the company of Reggie just so she could be there to say goodbye to Jason. Everyone was busy at the moment. Archie and Reggie had football. Betty, Kevin, and Jughead were in the Blue and Gold room with their murder board. When the whole main group got together it just felt tense and uneasy which made Yasmine not want to mention it. Cheryl had just invited them all to Thornhill for the memorial, Archie was pushing himself into football instead of dealing with what happened with Grundy but was also forced into a music opportunity by Betty. Was high school always this messy?
As the group looked at their invites Kevin gently nudged Yasmine before asking, "You didn't get an invite?" Yasmine turned from staring blankly at the field towards the boy next to her. "I got mine this morning." Yasmine answered her voice sounding very nonchalant about it but as soon as she turned away from Kevin she met the concerned eyes of Jughead Jones. Of course the writer would be able to read her like a book and tell that she was hiding how she really felt. Veronica stood from her seat on the bleachers in front of Yasmine and excused herself to head back inside. Yasmine watched the girl go admiring the shoes the Lodge girl currently was walking in. "We'll be there with you Yas." Jughead said softly but not soft enough as the other three members of the group turned to face us. "Be there for what?" Archie asked looking a bit confused about what Jughead meant. Yasmine fiddled with the sleeves of her shirt before glancing at Betty. "I um.. after Polly and Jason broke up, Jason and I well.. we were sort of a thing for a while. We kept it really private and hidden but it was fast and it ended quickly and then the next thing I know he was just..gone.."Yasmine looked down at her feet as she explained, he voice cracking as a few tears fell from her eyes. Betty reached back and rested her hand on Yasmine's knee as a sign of support. "We'll be there for you Yasmine." Betty confirmed Jughead's statement with a smile. Yasmine herself smiled at them as she sat up and dabbed at the wet marks under her eyes with the sleeve of her shirt to keep her make up in place but dry her eyes.

**POV Yasmine**
Talking to the group and telling them that I was in a relationship with Jason made me think. Jason and I began right after he ended things with Polly and she seemed to disappear. Then he started acting different and for a while I thought it was just because we were hiding our relationship but maybe...maybe there was more to it than that. Jason knew more about me than almost anyone. Jughead is the only north side person who knows as much about me as Jason did. Jason knew my brother, met him, and he didn't even seem to care.
"Minnie, 'ey Minnie," Julio tried to pull me out of my thoughts as he waved a hand in front of my face. I looked up at Julio who was looking at me with a worried expression. Juaquin, who was by the door looked just as concerned. "You were zoning out there Minnie. Are you sure you want to do this? You don't have to go." Julio's voice was gentle as he crouched down by my side. I just nod my head, "I want to go Julio. I won't be alone I promise." I kissed his cheek as I stood up. Julio stood at his full height as he wrapped his arms around me in a secure and tight hug. "Don't let those Blossoms try anything on you." Juaquin comments as he leans against the doorway. I nod and push past them. "I'll be back later. Try not to fight again." I told the two boys with a smile.
Leaving my small home I headed over to Betty's where I would be riding with her family and Jughead. The ride was a bit awkward but I would have done it all over again to avoid the anxiety and dread I felt as soon as I was standing in front of Thornhill. "I'm not ready." I mumbled to myself turning to run back to the car. Jughead wrapped his arm around me to stop me from leaving. "Betty and I are right here. We won't leave your side Yas." Jughead reassured me and I nod my head slowly. The three of us went to take our seats, which were behind Kevin, Archie, and Valerie. When Archie stood to go give Penelope Blossom Jason's old jersey I nearly wanted to cry. I grabbed Jughead's hand as Kevin pointed out how odd it was that Mrs. Blossom touched Archie's hair. Betty leaned forward and commented how sweet of an act that was for Archie to do. Jughead on the other hand glanced at me to make sure I was holding up alright. Part of me was drowning out what was happening around me as I struggled to process what was happening.
