All seven of them looked at each other with varying expressions on their ethereal faces.

Silent communication seemed to pass through them while Hana stood there, looking at each one and trying to meet any of the Sin's eyes. But all of them were careful to avoid her heated stare.

She looked down at her worn shoes.

They were taking forever!

If they keep this up, she might be dead by the time they had their decision.

"Sacrifice yourself for what?" came Envy's demanding tone, making all of them turn to him. "This world is not worth saving, and you know it. Why bother to save this race who knows nothing but suffering and hatred?"

Hana's stare hardened.

"Because there is goodness and generosity still existing, no matter how true your words are," she said to him. "I still have hope for humanity. Why don't you?"

"Because humanity has not been kind to us when we were living," came Lust's almost broken voice.

Hana was a little taken aback at the tears clinging to his lashes, face devoid of any emotion. But he looked so helpless and lost that as one tear came down, its track looked like a crack on his porcelain face, almost as if he was a sculpture.

The mood in the room turned somber, Hana sensing the heaviness and their hopelessness.

She cleared her throat.

"My father," she started quietly, gaining their stares once more. But she only looked at Lust. "Where is he?"

"Down in my chambers, locked up and being guarded by my snakes." His head tilted. "Why do you ask?"

She gulped.

"What do you plan to do to him?"

They gave each other uncertain glances.

"Assuming you know the details of our Unholy Ritual," started Gluttony, "we will use him as sacrifice since he embodies all our capital sins."

This horrified Hana that she gasped so loud, tears springing in her eyes as she ran to Pride, clutching the front of his robes and startling him so.

"No, please don't. My father is a good man. He takes care of us, and feeds us. He- "

Lust clicked his tongue in annoyance, everyone turning to see his whole figure bathed in his signature pink.

"A good man?" he repeated. "What is good about a man who cheats on his wife, whom he promised to love eternally?" His tone turned biting. "Are you not aware that he is a fraud? He brags about his meaningless qualities and chooses revenge over peace when someone has wronged him. He lies and steals from others, growing envious when- "

"Stop! Stop!" Hana screamed, tear streaks on her young face. "Stop badmouthing him, Lust! You know absolutely nothing!"

"Oh do I?" He rose a brow. "You're the foolish one who trusted his empty promises and- "

"That's enough out of you Lust," Sloth cut in a clipped tone, waving his hand for a zipper to magically shut his younger brother's mouth. He didn't mind the glare the younger shot his way. "But yes the glutton is right: your father, sad as it is, will be used as sacrifice."

Her mouth was already moving before she knew what she was getting herself into.

"Then take me instead!" she screamed, tears still flowing down her face.
