Finally Over

"Where were you kept?" Hana asked as they walked.

"Surprisingly, Envy kept me in one of the luxurious rooms he owned," the boy said, glasses falling off slightly. "The door was locked tightly, so there was no way out, and the windows were too small for me to fit through."

Hana's brows creased.

"Ahh mianhae I wasn't able to save you."

He shook his head.

"It's fine, since I've been feeding myself and sleeping well." He looked to Hana's confused expression. "There was food and drink, and the softest bed I could imagine. He locked me up, but it looked like he made sure I was still okay."

Hana gave a secret smile to herself, silently thanking the youngest of the Sins for looking out for her friend.

"So what are you going to do now?" Sang-won asked curiously as they headed for home. "Your mission is done, and the world continues to revolve."

He was right: what was she going to do?

Well, realistic plans first.

"Well, I'm going back to school once the summer break's over. It's the only logical reason."

He nodded.

"And well... I can't forget the Sins, and I won't let myself. I've been through a lot just to lock up my mind about my experiences with them. It'll serve as reminders I guess."

She looked to him, a little lost, but all he did was smile in encouragement.

"That's okay." He frowned then. "I'm sorry for all the bad thoughts I've harbored for you at first. I know it wasn't right, but I really wanted to help. My grandfather told me some stuff to help, and it was pure coincidence meeting you in the library." He met her eyes. "I just didn't expect that you'd be so pretty."

Hana flushed a light pink at the compliment.

"Well I'm not sure if I can forgive you for your lustful thoughts, but please keep it to a minimum otherwise we can't be friends."

He laughed, his glasses bouncing off the light of the sun as his head tipped back.

"Alright then." They stopped walking. "I'll see you around sometime. Don't be a stranger and drop by my grandpa's shop alright?"

He waved and ran off to the side, Hana watching him go, even when he disappeared.

Choo Hana sighed.

The world seemed different in her eyes now.

The tall buildings and bustling sidewalks were still the same, but there was a touch of difference that made Hana realize the world isn't what it seemed to be.

There were always hidden meanings of some sort.

Come to think of it, Hana grew up thinking that the world was a good place where people helped each other and made good differences for the betterment of the future generations.

Now she realized she was wrong.

The Seven Deadly Sins existed because of man and man alone. There was already gluttony in the earlier times, most likely in the Stone Age where people fought for food and survival.

Pride was everywhere, even within the person. It was dangerous once a person thought of himself as more while the others were beneath him, almost as if he was considering himself a god.

Lust wasn't just sexual pleasure. That was a wrong notion that everyone thought. There could also be lust for money, lust for power, lust for emotions. It wasn't just caged to carnal desire.

The world had its dark sides. History was a testimony to that. There was slavery, human rights were violated, money caused families to tear apart from the inside, and many others.

In a way, the Sins helped her realize that. And she was thankful otherwise she would have entered the real world knowing only butterflies and rainbows, which wasn't the case.

When Hana entered her home, it was to be engulfed in two pairs of warm arms.

She blinked in surprise, and pulled back to see her parents, all teary-eyed and red-faced. They must have been crying so hard from when her father ran home.

She still couldn't forgive him for cheating on her mom, but if he could make it up to her, then maybe she'd reconsider. She was just glad to see him alive.

"Honey, I'm sorry," her dad said, voice full of regret and a tinge of weariness. He must be so tired. "I've been thrown in the pits of hell, and it was only a miracle that I'm alive."

"I begged Lust to release you," she told the man.

"Yes, and for that I'm very grateful, my child."

Na-ri sobbed and threw her arms around Hana, who gasped in surprise but hugged back fiercely.

With arms still around her mom, she told her dad, "Lust told me that this is your second chance to redeem yourself. If you don't behave, he'll be collecting your soul."

She saw the panic and fear in his eyes, and he blubbered, "Oh tell the Sin that I'm thankful for his mercy and generosity. I- I'll fix myself, Hana, I'll make it up to you."

She smiled and nodded.

"I know you will, appa. Do better."

Her eyes looked outside her open window, a rainbow formed from the clouds and washed down the earth, making a smile curl up her lips.

Oh wait.

When she looked closer and longer, the indigo that was supposed to be on the second to the last was replaced with pink, the color of lust.

She smirked; what a playful man.

This must be a sign that her mission was finally over.

A century later finds a boy of sixteen rifling through his parents' enormous library.

His fingers moved through the covers of books and tomes until he stumbled upon a secret compartment in the very back corner of the huge space of the library.

Curious, just like his ancestor before him, he tried to open the compartment with his hands but he ended up falling back on his butt.

Undeterred by the first failure, he tried punching it with a fist, hoping for some results.

The compartment opened almost quickly, and there he pulled out a box almost the size of a shoe box, painted a dark color that resembled black, unfamiliar symbols engraved on the lid and what looked like snakes decorating the sides. But it seemed strangely heavy. What heavy object could be inside?

Was this a family heirloom? Maybe a large gun with lots of bullets for safekeeping?

He didn't know.

Well, only one way to find out.

Annd that's a wrap everyone! Thank you for those who continued sticking by, especially @girlwithangeleyes! All of you are amazing for trying to read this crap which isnt beautifully written but I appreciate you all the same! See you in one of my other works!!
