Charlie wanted to do something special for (Y/n) as a thank you for being there to support her in her plan as well as protecting everyone at the hotel, she also wanted to do this because she wanted to show her love to (Y/n) for being a good boyfriend.
Charlie decided to try to bake a cake. She had it all planned out. She was going to present it to him with a happy smile and relish in the passionate kisses she was going to receive for it, sure she didn't know how to bake one but she could figure it out how hard could it be?
She had seen the chef's at her father's mansion bake cakes all the time though she wasn't paying much attention to the process. Her child mind was more focused on 'taste testing' the icing sneaking and stealing it when the chefs weren't looking.
Charlie at least knew the ingredients to the cake she planned on baking so grabbed what was in the pantry and attempted to work every so often watching the time. Charlie had asked Alastor to get (Y/n) out of the hotel so that she could surprise him with the cake.
Luckily, Alastor complied.
"(Y/n) my good man! plan on drinking are we? Allow me to show you this bar I like, they serve the best whiskey!" Alastor smiled his usual smile wrapping an arm around the soldier's shoulder.
"Al, we got drinks here." (Y/n) stated
"I know but let's spoil ourselves on high class liquor! What do you say my friend?" Alastor questioned knowing (Y/n) liked only the best.
"You buyin'?" (Y/n) asked with a raised brow.
"Of course my treat!"
Charlie watched the two leave, thankful Alastor got (Y/n) out of the hotel, he agreed he would take (Y/n) out for a drink for an hour giving Charlie time to prepare it, bake it, and put on the icing.
Charlie had all the ingredients in a way too large bowl than necessary, she wanted to bake (Y/n) a large cake so hesitantly she picked up the mixer.
Charlie checked the time and was surprised to see that most of the time she needed had drained by fast it took her long enough to find the ingredients themselves how could she get the cake done now?
Looking at the mixer Charlie picked it up and pushed the beaters into the bowl of ingredients.
Surely if she made the beaters go as fast as possible the batter would be done quicker right? Charlie thought to herself as she pushed the power from zero to five.
The mixer roared to life spinning like a tornado surprising Charlie at the violent shaking of the mixer making it slide from her grip. The mixer flung cake batter everywhere, some hit the ceiling walls, table, and of course, poor Charlie.
Charlie squealed in surprise as she tried to stop the mixer it's weight tipped the bowl making it dump onto the floor.
"Shit!" Charlie said as the mixer finally shut off from her kicking it and breaking it in panic.
Charlie looked down at the batter all spread on the floor sadness hitting her. Desperately Charlie searched for more ingredients only to find that she used the last cake mix.
Looking over at the clock she paled when she read the time
(Y/n) should be back.
As if on cue, she heard him call out for her on the other side of the door to the kitchen, Alastor must of told him where she was at.
(Y/n) opened the door before she could say anything.
"Charlie sweetheart what are you doing in the-" (Y/n)'s eyes widened as a grin spread across his face.
Charlie looked up at him looking dejected, cake batter on her cheeks and clothes as well as all over the place in the room.
(Y/n) let out a chuckle as it then turned into a full on laugh he practically wiped a tear from his eyes.
Charlie looked down at the floor rubbing her arm feeling like an idiot. (Y/n) was about to ask what the fuck happened until he saw the candle letters Charlie planned on putting on the cake.
She had them spelt out on the counter already so she could put them on without worrying about having to look for the letters in the pile.
The candles spelt out 'I love you my toy soldier' on the counter making a smile cross (Y/n)'s face.
Turning and looking at Charlie, (Y/n) put his hand under Charlie's chin lifting it up so she could look at him. He could see some tears threatening to spill as she looked him in the eyes.
(Y/n) wiped the batter off Charlie's cheek with his finger and licked it off.
"You taste delicious." (Y/n) grinned as he pulled her in to give her the kisses she deserved.
Alastor waited patiently for Charlie to tell him how it went and to make sure she succeeded in baking the cake, she was a sweet girl but baking was definitely not one her talents.
Eventually the door did open and Charlie came stumbling out of the kitchen a goofy smile on her face as well as a red blush
"Did it go well my dear?" Alastor asked with a chuckle.
"It went WAY better than I expected." Charlie stated in a daze as she stumbled off her goofy smile never leaving her face.
(Y/n) came out of the kitchen a moment later a confident smirk on his face and a lot of lipstick lip marks on his face.
Walking past a teasing Alastor (Y/n) turned and smiled at the deer demon.
"Thanks for the drinks by the way. I'll pay you back, but as of right now I have more important things to worry about." With that (Y/n) turned to find Charlie and show her his full appreciation.
Alastor turned and didn't dare look in the kitchen he knew it was a disaster in there someone was going to clean it up and it wasn't going to be him.
