Charlie would be there to calm (Y/n) she didn't always understand how it worked so she payed attention to (Y/n)'s behavior.
Sometimes it would be obvious he would grab his head in pain and his breath would start to race and his body will ache saying he is hearing gunfire and screams in his head.
Other times he would have a subtle attack his face would harden and his brows will furrow and start scanning the room looking everybody over wearily even close friends.
Charlie would be careful how she approached him making sure she was in his sight when he was hurting she would carefully talk him through it easing him out if his panic before comforting him physically.
She learned he was in a constant cycle of anxiety a distrust to strangers which proved a problem for him when having new co-workers.
Charlie was careful with noises which could affect (Y/n) certain noises could trigger an episode and cause him to keep people at a distance even her.
Then there were times when (Y/n) felt like he was unlovable claiming he was no good. He thought of himself as just a weapon without a purpose in those moments Charlie would list off to him why she loved him over and over if she had to which she happily did.
Charlie also learned he was very protective over her never leaving her side.
Charlie would be gentle when they slept only cuddling him if he started the interaction. When He has nightmares and would wake up panting Charlie would comfort him explaining where he was and that he was safe easing him back into slumber.
Sometimes When (Y/n) couldn't sleep and would stare at the ceiling in deep thought Charlie would try to get him to sleep or try to comfort him or stay awake with him.
The thought of leaving him or giving up on him never crossed her mind, she would be with him and never leave his side she will help him recover give him help. Charlie loved him too much.
