*after the amount of YES i've rear in the comments I've decided to continue this story. Btw at some point I'm going to continue the mute reader one as well.*
Charlie nuzzled herself closer to fend off the cold as best she could pulling his Cape closer to herself as he trudged through the snow not at all bothered by the cold.
Charlie looked up at his face, which was still covered by the menacing helmet trying to find some form of emotion.
She had to admit, upon meeting the man she thought he was terrifying (not that he still wasn't) and that he was hired to hunt HER.
And then he saved her, making her feel guilty for fearing him but could one really blame her? He looked like the grim reaper with armor which must've been the point.
But something still bothered her though.
"Why did you do it?" She asked softly her voice barely above the sound of the cold wind.
"Do what?" (Y/n) responded not looking down at her still focused on the ever fading trail.
"S-Save me. You could have let them kill me, why didn't you?" She asked shivering from the cold.
(Y/n) hesitated and sighed his breath like smoke rushed from the holes in the mask.
"It...goes against my code.." (Y/n) answered simply not bothering to let on.
"You have a code? What is it?" Charlie asked curiously. (Y/n) looked down at her for a brief moment then back ahead.
"No women or children."
"Oh, well thank you again, for not killing me. You're a good man." Charlie said with a soft chuckle.
(Y/n) stopped and went rigid making Charlie think she said something wrong.
"I...I'm not a good man Charlie, I hurt people.." (Y/n) said softly then started walking again.
"Try to..Try to get some rest okay? When you wake we should be there." (Y/n) stated although it sounded more like an order.
"But won't you get tired?" Charlie asked.
" I used to drag bears back to the village from here, you're a feather." (Y/n) mused.
'Was that a joke? Did he just joke?' Charlie thought to herself as she smiled and let out a short giggle and rested her head on his armored chest.
Slowly Charlie drifted off into slumber.
Charlie slowly woke to the sound of a crackling fire and the sound of cloth flapping against the force of wind. Her eyes fluttered open and she found herself in a tent animal pelts were used as flooring and a woolen blanket draped over her shoulders.
She rested on her elbow and looked around rubbing her tired eyes, as she peered out of the tent and spotted a silouette sitting on a log at the fire staring into it.
The fire was the only source of light in the darkness outside as the cold winter night pressed on against the figure.
Charlie could not believe she had slept the entire day away especially with how cold it was. Had (Y/n) kept her warm during the journey here?
"(Y/n)?" Charlie asked quietly, she did not know why but if felt as though speaking would disturb the silence of the forest.
The figure looked up at her the menacing helmet not there anymore.
