Mattia never really knew what he was doing to his friends when he told them to stop hanging out with their girlfriends so much. He didn't know the situation he kept putting them in, he just wanted spend time with his boys. Worrying about their love life's wasn't something on his mind, so it wasn't hard to voice his own opinion, at least back then. Now, he understood after getting his own girlfriend.

Life is great when you have someone to share it with, however not so much when your best friends are now all single and want to hang out everyday. Mattia's best friends were never one to interject his relationship, however it's not hard to miss when they make comments about how supposedly he's changed since starting a relationship.

"Come on man, your always with her." Kairi, one of Mattia's best friend, said. "Just come out with the boys tonight, we always go out on Friday night."

"You know I'm always down, but I promised her this Friday we'd go to the movies." Mattia tried convincing Kairi. "Just this Friday, then she's cool with me spending the weekend with you guys."

Mattia knew the boys had sent Kairi to convince him to go out this Friday, since he seemed to always convince into anything. This wouldn't be a problem if he hadn't already promised his girlfriend a week prior that he'd take her to the movies.

"Nah man, it's cool." Except it wasn't all that cool, and Mattia knew that as Kairi left without smiling, which was unusual to him.

Mattia just sighed as he walked to class, alone. He felt bad to ditch the guys on Friday night, but he was also excited to go to the movies for a date night. Sliding into his chair he thought, is this what they felt when I told them to cancel their plans? He regretted saying what he said, now he felt like the odd man out.

"Hey Mattia." Mattia felt a peck on his cheek, making his mood brighten. There she is, he thought. "Are you okay? You looked upset for a second there."

Oh yeah, the guys. Mattia was instantly reminded of the conversation he had with Kairi. "It's nothing." He told Lana, his girlfriend.

"You can talk to me, you know." She gave him her full attention. That was something Mattia loved about her, she always cared about how he was feeling, making it easier for him to open up.

"It's just-" he hesitated, "the guys want me to go out this Friday but I told them no, and now they're upset, again."

Lana knew how close Mattia was with his best friends, they hung out every second they could. So, she knew how this could upset Mattia so much. "If you want, we can cancel."

Mattia's head shot up. "No. No, I promised you I would take you to the movies."

"Okay, but I don't like seeing you upset. I also hate the idea of your friends not liking me." Lana confessed.

"Yeah me neither." Mattia sighed once again. "I'll talk to them again. Work something out."

"Okay." Lana leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek again. "Don't worry about your friends. You guys can't stay mad at each other for a long time. They'll come around, they always do."

"You're right." Your always right. Mattia smiled at the girl in front of him, and as he leaned over to kiss her on the lips, the teacher interrupted them.

"Mr. Polibio, do I need to separate you two again?"
