Girls were never a problem for Kairi, and if you thought his height caused him trouble, your wrong. Now, the reason he gets a lot of girls is mostly due to the fact he's quite famous on social media, but also due to Kairi being a great guy. Girls love his humor and how he carries himself. Kairi knew he can get any girl, but one he could never get, was Kiana.

Kiana was a free spirit, she loved giving love to others. She's such a kind person that everyone adored her, especially Kairi. His friends often told him he never stood a chance, mostly due to her dating history, but he never gave up. At least now, he's become one of her closest friends.

Kiana and Kairi sat at a table with five other people, all of them being Kairi's friends. The seven of them were talking about taking a trip to New York with a couple other friends. Kiana was probably the most excited about the trip, mostly because that's where she originally grew up.

"And then we can go to this restaurant just outside of the city, they make the best Italian food you can eat." Kairi loved seeing how she smiled while talking about New York.

"That's cap." Mattia said. "You want some good food, talk to my grandma."

"Come on kids, get to class." Behind Mattia was the P.E. Coach signaling them to get to class before the bell rings. "Let's go, let's go. You don't wanna be tardy."

Everyone started getting up, muttering under their breath about how they didn't care about being late. Eventually everyone split up, heading to their own class. But Kairi and Kiana shared the same first period, so they always walked together in the morning.

Kairi likes walking with Kiana in the morning, especially when the hallways start becoming empty, giving them a little bit more privacy. It seems that any time their alone together, someone always has to ruin it, it's mostly Mattia who ruins, it, but you get the idea. And, Kiana liked it too, since becoming friends with Kairi, she's also lost a bit of quietness in her life. Though, if being friends with Kairi meant not having as much privacy, then she was okay with that.

"Are you excited about New York?" Kiana broke the silence between them.

"Yeah, I wanna see where you grew up. Maybe I'll get a better picture of you." The two started walking slower, seeing as how their class was around the corner.

"What do you mean?" Confusion was written over Kiana's face. Her braids perfectly shaped her face, something Kairi like the most.

"I don't know, New York is known to be only for the tough, yet your so kind to everyone." They had stopped walking completely, just a few feet from the door to their classroom. "Seems a little contradicting."

"Just because I grew up around gangbangers and crime, doesn't mean I have to be just like the others." Kiana would be lying if she said she want getting defensive.

"Yeah I know, sorry I didn't mean it like that. It was stupid. I'm just glad you didn't turn out like the others. I like seeing your sweet smile when things get tough."

Kiana sighed, she knew Kairi liked her, but she couldn't anything about it now.

"Hey baby." Someone had passed by Kairi, heading towards Kiana.

Alyssa.

Alyssa placed a kiss on Kiana cheek, to which she replied with a sweet smile. "Are you guys coming to class? Why are you guys standing out here?"

"We were just talking about New York." Kiana said to Alyssa, and Kairi gave a fake smile in agreement.

"Oh really? Oh my gosh I'm so excited to go to New York. You know I've never been, which is crazy cuz I-" Kairi tuned her out. He knew she was a sweet girl, he just hated that the two were dating.

"Come on guys, let's get to class." Alyssa walked in, leaving Kiana and Kairi still in the hallway.

The bell rang above them, signaling class to start. "Come on Kairi, let's go." Kiana motioned her head towards the door as she walked away, leaving Kairi standing in the hallway, alone.
