Chapter 16

Today was a busy day. I woke up to Colby's arms around me and laughed. I heard a picture being taken and looked to see Brennen taking a picture of us. I heard a buzz and saw that Brennen had sent the picture to Colby and I. I smiled and got up from the couch and walked to the kitchen to get some coffee.

After my coffee was made, I walked to Colby and shook him. He started groaning and was about to swat me like a fly but I caught his hand. He looked up and made an oops face. I laughed and pushed his shoulder.

"Colbs you need to get up we gotta go to my apartment and then go to yours." He nodded and got up from the couch.

I walked to Brennen and kissed his cheek as a thank you and walked to my apartment. I opened the door to see my friends looking into my room confused. I forgot to tell them where I was going.

"Hey guys." They turned to look at me and ran to hug me.

I laughed, "Guys I'm moving out... sorta... I finally called the cops on my stalker and they suggested that I live elsewhere while they work on catching him so I'm going to be living with Colby until they catch him." Lucas looked upset but I could tell that Ashley understood.

"Why do you have to leave? I'll protect you I promised... Jay that I would... please stay." I felt tears brim my eyes and sighed. 

I walked to Lucas and pulled him into a hug. I could hear him sniffling and pulled away.

"Lukie pukie, I'll be okay I promise. I know that you can protect me but the police told me to leave, so I need to stay somewhere else." He nodded and kissed my forehead.

"Aidy payde if anything happens call me and I'll be right there to protect you." I grinned and laughed.

"Lucas you're forgetting that I can kick your ass, I'll be fine I promise." He pouted and I smacked his cheek playfully.

I walked to my room and grabbed a duffel bag and started to fill it with whatever I needed. I could hear Ashley walk into my room and begin helping me pack. If I needed anything I could always have one of my friends bring it to me.

After my bags were packed I walked out of my room holding Ashley's hand and dropped my bag by the door. I then felt another hand grab my other hand. I looked up to see Lucas and smiled a bittersweet smile. I was leaving my friends for the first time since I met them.

I pulled them both into a hug and whispered to them that we would hang out all the time and then pulled away. I walked towards Colby and grabbed his hand and my duffel bag before walking out of my apartment.

We walked to the parking garage and I got into my car and followed him to his apartment. Once we were there I walked into the guest room that he had cleared out for me and put my stuff down. I could hear Colby talking to someone and walked out to see Sam with his back facing me.

I grinned and ran quietly to Sam and jumped on his back.

"SAMUEL!!!! I missed you!" I heard him scream and then I saw him relax when he realized that it was me.

I jumped down and hugged him normally and looked at Colby as I was doing so. I couldn't help but smile at them both. I loved my new friends and I couldn't wait to spend time with the boys and my other friends.

I walked to the kitchen and looked in the fridge. Once I realized that Colby doesn't have anything to eat, I walked to my room and grabbed my purse and keys. I told Colby that I was going grocery shopping and left him to hang with his best friend.

The drive to Ralphs wasn't long but I felt tired all of a sudden. Not taking care of myself had taken a toll on my body and I wasn't going to let it happen again. I walked into Ralphs and went to each individual isle. 

After getting what I thought was needed in a kitchen, I paid for my stuff and walked to the car to see someone watching me out of the corner of my eye from their car. I sighed. It was probably my stalker. I decided not to react and walked to my trunk and filled it with the groceries before climbing into my car and starting it.

I pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive. I knew that he was following me but I didn't want to do anything too drastic. I decided to call Colby.

"Hello?" 

"Hey Colbs.. I might be a little later then planned. I'm being followed so I'm going to lose him and head home."

"Wait what? Are you okay?" I laughed.

"I'm fine." With that, I hung up and focused on the road.

It took an 20 minutes to lose my stalker but I finally did it and made my way home. Walking into the apartment, I saw Colby and Sam filming a video and nodded at them. I walked into the small kitchen and began putting groceries away.

Not long after I was done I checked the time to see that it was almost 5 in the evening. I thought for a moment before deciding to make chicken with rice and vegetables. Beginning to make the food was a process but I put my earbuds in and started to dance while I cut up some veggies.

I loved cooking and Colby was going to have to get used to it because I needed to start eating healthy again. I finished cutting everything that I needed to cut just in time to feel Colby's hand on my shoulder. I took my earbud out to hear him better.

"Hey what're you making?"

"Chicken, rice, and vegetables. Hey ask Sam if he wants to stay for dinner... in fact just call close friends and ask if they want to come eat dinner." Colby nodded and walked back to Sam on the couch.

I saw Sam nod his head and he looked at me and shouted thank you. I chuckled, these boys were nuts. I finished with dinner and got out some plates as people were piling into the room. There were more people then I though there would be but I smiled anyway. I made enough.

I saw Kat walking towards me and I smiled and wiped my hands off to hug her.

"Hey Kat!" I haven't talked to Kat in a while and I was happy that she was here.

"Hey Aiden, how are you?" I laughed.

"I'm good." I walked back to the food and started to bring it out to a small table that I had Colby move.

I felt someone come up behind me and turned to see Colby trying to sneak food. I smacked his hand away and pointed to the couch.

"Go sit down, Food Bandit." He pouted playfully.

Kat walked back over to me, "We need to talk." I frowned but followed her to my room.

"What's up?" 

"Since when are you and Colby dating?" My eyes widened.

"We're not dating, I have a stalker so he's letting me live here until the police catch him."

"Girl, I've never seen Colby look at someone like he looks at you. He looks at you the way that Sam looks at me." I frowned.

"But Sam loves you..."

"Exactly..." With that, she left me to my thoughts.

Does Colby love me?
