Chapter 46

Today was our last day with my parents and Colby suggested that we go to his house in Kansas and see his family. I was excited but nervous because I haven't met his parents let alone his brother and they were going to judge us with me being pregnant. 

I let Colby drive so that I could look around at where we were going. I had lived in Kansas for a couple of years and I'm surprised that I had never seen Colby at the mall when he came to visit. He did tell me that he was banned but that never stops him. 

We were on the interstate when I started to feel nauseous. Damn this morning sickness. "Colby can you pull over please?" He nodded and put our emergency lights on.

I jumped out of the car once it stopped and leaned on it trying to prevent myself from throwing up. I heard Colby jump out when there weren't cars near his drivers side door. He ran over to me and held my hair rubbing my back. 

When I stopped throwing up, I glanced at him and laughed. I felt like a lunatic for laughing but I wanted to laugh at the fact that I was only 21 and he was 23, yet here we are getting ready for a baby. I could tell by the look on Colby's face that he was confused so I stopped laughing.

"Sorry, I just felt like laughing. These damn hormones are driving me insane." He chuckled a bit.

We both climbed back into the car and drove the rest of the way to his house. I was starting to get really nervous and it bothered me that his parents had this affect on me. I rarely got nervous for things and I think I was nervous this time because I actually loved Colby.

I never understood love until I met him. We had our ups and downs but he has made me whole. Colby parked the car and gave me a nudge bringing me back to reality before coming around to my side to help me out of the car. 

I saw three people come out of his house barreling towards us and my eyes widened for a moment making Colby laugh. I pushed him a bit smiling. I could see how happy Colby was to see his family. He hugged his mom first and I grinned when his brother Gage gave me a hug.

I was wearing loose clothing so they didn't know how big my bump was. Colby told them that I was pregnant the second he found out and they were all excited but hesitant to accept the news. I met his dad next and he reminded me so much of Colby. His dad and brother towered over me like Colby did. 

His mom ran to me and gave me the biggest hug and I giggled when she whispered about how gorgeous I was. His mom is beautiful and I could see the resemblance between the two. I broke the hug and I felt Theo kick making me grin. I motioned for his mom to give me her hand.

I placed her hand on my stomach and when Theo kicked again she let out a gasp making Colby run over. I laughed, he always thought something was wrong with Theo. Once he realized what was happening he grinned and hugged me from behind. 

"I'm happy you're here with me," Colby whispered into my ear.

"I'll always be with you," I whispered back. 

I could see his family smile at us. I felt at home because I knew that with Colby I was. His mom grabbed my hand and dragged me to the house and I looked back at Colby and his brother and dad laughing. When we walked inside, I could see pictures of Colby when he was a boy making me smile.

"Aiden, do you know the gender of the baby?" I nodded happily.

"I'm having a boy and Colby and I are so excited. I have 6 more months and then he'll be here."

"I'm so happy for you both. I just wanna say thank you. You are making my baby boy so happy and he looks healthy and..." I pulled her in for a hug.
