Chapter 73

Cheryl's and Toni's bedroom was silent, the redhead tucked up under the bed covers, sleeping heavily while snuggled into her husband's body Toni– 's arms wrapped comfortably around her. Laid faithfully on the floor at the foot of the bed was their dog, Bella, her head resting on her paws while dozing on and off. Her ears continued to twitch, however, picking up the chatting sounds.

Toni was woken up by the sun streaming through the window. He tried to hide his face, so he could sleep a little longer but it didn't work. So he decided to surprise Cheryl with a little breakfast in bed. He slowly moved out of the bed, without waking Cheryl up. Bella woke up the moment Toni was walking by, and she followed him out of the room.

Toni walked by Alex's room, and he checked if he was still asleep. To his surprise Alex was wide awaked, but he didn't make one sound. Toni decided that it would be better to take Alex with him downstairs before he will get grumpy and wake Cheryl up.

''Hey buddy, did you sleep well my love?'' Toni ask quietly in a baby voice. All Alex did was giggle.

Toni changed Alex and then decided to put him into his sling. So that he could carry him around the house, and he would have no problem with having to keep an eye on Alex because he would be with him the whole time. The sling might even help to get Alex back to sleep so that he would be well rested for later.

After putting Alex in the sling Toni made his way downstairs, and he started to prepare everything for the breakfast. He fed Bella and even gave Alex his bottle, while he finished making Cheryl's favorite pancakes. Finishing everything for his surprise, Toni cleaned up the mess he made and then made his way up to their bedroom. Alex was sleeping in his sling cuddled close to Toni's chest while he clutched his t-shirt in his little fist. Bella was following Toni up to their bedroom never leaving his site.

The moment he walked in he was met with a sleepy redhead who just sat up in bed. Cheryl started to smile as soon as she spotted her husband in the doorway. She woke up and realized that Toni was no longer by her site, and she decided to go look for him and as she was about to stand up the door opened, and she was met with the cutest thing in the world. Her handsome husband and littly baby boy.

Toni walked over to Cheryl's site of the bed and gave her a good morning kiss.

''Good morning beautiful''

''Good morning handsome.''

''Did you sleep well?''

''I did but I would have slept way better if I had had the chance to wake up next to you'' Cheryl said with a huge smile on her face.

Toni laughed and gave Cheryl another kiss. They both settled down again and ate together, while Alex was still fast asleep in his sling cuddled close to Toni. Toni and Cheryl enjoyed their little family moment and after they finished their breakfast they decided to get ready. Toni brought the dishes downstairs and put them into the dishwasher. Cheryl went to take a shower, as Toni was back upstairs he carefully got Alex out of his sling and laid him down on their bed. He quickly changed and put the sling back on before carefully putting Alex back into it.

After they both were changed, they got into Toni's car, Alex still asleep. Luckily he is a heavy sleep. Toni started to care and drove to his parents house. A few weeks ago they all sat together and decided that they would all spent Christmas together at Kate and Ravi's house. Navy and Veronica would be there, Nora, as well as William and Katherine, Nana Rose will come and of course Cheryl and Toni with Alex. Everyone would be there.

Cheryl was excited to spend this Christmas with her family. It still sounded crazy to her sometimes, that she now got to call Toni's family her own. But she was happy that she was able to call these amazing people her family. Cheryl was even more excited because this is Alex's first Christmas, and she just knew that he will be spoiled. She already knew that Toni and her had bought him a lot and, Cheryl knows that Kate and Ravi love to surprise their family, and they love little Alex. So she is pretty sure the Alex will get a lot of presents from them to. And then there his her Nana. Nana Rose loves to spoil people. She spoiled Cheryl and Jason every chance she got, she even surprises Toni and everyone else with little things sometimes. So she is also pretty sure that Alex will definitely be having an awesome Christmas even tho he won't be able to remember it.

At Kate and Ravi's house they all sat together and talked, while preparing the food. They ate together and after they cleaned everything up, Kate pulled out some board games. This was one of the Topaz's tradition. Every year they would play some games before they open their gifts. So that they could enjoy as much time together as they could. Everyone was having a blast Cheryl loved every second of it. She finally had the family she always dreamed of. The husband she never thought she would get and her perfect little baby boy. She was really happy. And a little lost in her thoughts. She was pulled away from them when she felt Toni kiss her cheek. She looked at him and nodded at him. This is something that some people might not understand. But Cheryl loved this part of their relationship. They were able to communicate without saying anything. They are able to understand each other even tho they only look at each other.

Now it is time for presents. They all settled down in the living room. Navy, Veronica and Nora sitting on one side of the couch. Nana Rose was sitting in the arm chair they had next to the couch. Kate and Ravi were sitting on the other couch with Katherine and William. While Toni and Cheryl decided to sit on the floor with Alex. Toni sat behind Cheryl, arms wrapped around her waist. Cheryl had Alex sitting on her legs, and she was cuddled close to Toni's front.

As soon as everyone was settled Kate started to hand out gifts. And Cheryl was right. In front of her and Toni was one pile of presents for them and one pile for Alex. And Alex's pile was definitely a lot bigger. But Cheryl was happy that her son, had such an amazing family that he could always rely on if he need it. And she was sure that this was never going to change. Her life finally was a happy one, and she wouldn't change a thing. The year that started horrible for her ended amazing. She found the love of her life, who she married, and they got a beautiful baby boy. She had the family she always dreamt of. Everything was perfect and she was happy.
