Must I Say Hello?

I hate it so much when I must say hello,

To the people who are nothing but shallow,

Nothing good ever comes out of my relationships,

Others make me feel as insignificant as a blip.

Even though humans are meant to be social,

And loved ones in your life are supposed to be crucial,

But most people I know are so nasty and cruel,

Every societies' standards are now dual.

Every love and every smile is contaminated,

Against every soul and every heart, it is discriminated,

People kill people and maybe with good reason,

Most of them live in their own guilt's prison.

They only smile when they've something to gain,

Poor are left to die, no one cares for their pain,

People get hurt and they are forced to cry,

Women aren't treated well, so many just left to die.

They wait, then they pounce, they will tear you apart,

Left with a shattered soul, you will wish for a new start,

While you are left behind to pick up the pieces,

Your sadness scattered around within their traces.

Oh, but that's not the end, they do something even worse,

They then start calling you an angry girl,

They say you're weird, they call you names,

How rude! As if you're the one to be blamed.

Your soul is sad but to them, it's all a game,

They say your heart is frozen, without a shame,

But did you choose this life of grief and despair?

This benign existence, this sham of human care!

You trusted and you believed, that's your only sin,

But with them, you will never win,

I was also cornered by hateful people, now I live in my shell,

Into the deepest darkest nooks, my soul now dwells.
