Chapter 22: Cafe Advice

Annie's POV:
I walked into the cafe and saw her. She was looking down at her phone until I sat myself across from her
Annie: hey Kenz
Kenzie: hey Anns! How are you?
Annie: I'm good how about you?
Kenzie: I'm doing great!
Annie: that's good to hear
Kenzie: so...what'd you wanna meet up for
Annie: well uh-
Kenzie: let me guess...boys
Annie: yeah. I'm such a hoe I know
Kenzie: first of all your not and second of all I would like you to describe to me exactly what's going on. Detail by detail!
Annie: sure thing. heres what's happening
I explained to Kenzie what's been going on. By the time I was done explaining she seemed very confused.
Kenzie: wait ok let me get this straight. John, the boys you've known for practically your whole life has an exchange student living in his house and you started falling for the kid, correct?
Annie: mhm
Kenzie: then you started realizing you have feeling for John as well?
Annie: yup
Kenzie: and you found out Jayden likes John so you thought that if you liked John and he liked you back it's cause drama between you and Jayden?
Annie: yeah
Kenzie: then John got jealous that you were hanging out with the foreign exchange student more than him and he brought up Caleb which I'm willing to beat him up over by the way.
Annie: there's no need to because-
Kenzie: it took him two weeks to come up with an apology?
Annie: and now I'm here asking for advice
Kenzie: wow...when you said you wanted to meet up I didn't think we'd talk about something so extreme
Annie: yeah...maybe I should have mentioned that in my texts
Kenzie: well do you want my point of view on the situation
Annie: yes please
Kenzie: I know it's cliche but follow your heart. If you love John go for him and if you love the exchange student-
Annie: Asher
Kenzie: if you love Asher go for him
Annie: well how do I know if I love him?
Kenzie: you'll know Anns trust me
Annie: yeah but-
Kenzie: must I explain everything to you
Kenzie laughed as I nodded and smiled
Kenzie: well you can't describe love Anns. It's different for everyone
Annie: I guess your right
Kenzie: glad you agree!
Kenzie stood up from her seat as I gave her a confused look.
Kenzie: well cmon slow poke let's go
Annie: uhm where are we going?
Kenzie: I'm in town are you really gonna waste that opportunity?
I laughed and stood up from my seat. Kenzie and I walked out out the cafe and just let the sidewalk guide us. Or maybe Kenzie was guiding us. I'm not to sure, but at the time all I knew was that I should be expecting an adventure
