Chapter 24: The Master Plan

Johnny's POV:
So Asher just left for some strange reason. I wouldn't be surprised if he went to hang out with Annie. All I could really do was sit in my room and feel some type of way. After sitting around and doing nothing for a few minutes I got a face time call from Jayden
Jayden: hey John
Johnny: hey Jay what's up?
Jayden: oh I was just wondering if you've heard from Annie. I tried calling her all day and I haven't heard a word from her
Johnny: well uhm I haven't but I'm sure Asher has...
Wow that makes it seem like I'm asking for pity. I don't want that. I don't need that. No thank you.
Jayden: oh...is there something wrong?
What was I supposed to expect? Her to not ask?
Johnny: no nothings-
Jayden: I don't want you to lie
Johnny: ok ok...I might be slightly jealous but you can't tell anyone!
Jayden: your jealous? That's Asher's hanging out with Annie?
I nodded my head slightly ashamed. I know I shouldn't be jealous but I am and I can't control that.
Jayden: well I might have an idea
Jayden's POV:
Is this plan flawless? No but it's worth a shot
Johnny: ok? Watcha got?
Jayden: ok now this might sound ridiculous but let's try to make her jealous
Johnny: I'm not following
Jayden: you and me should be a couple
Johnny: to make Annie jealous?
Jayden: yeah what else would it be for?
I mean it also is an attempt for him to slowly fall in love with me but he don't have to know everything.
Johnny: ok I'm in
Jayden: really? I thought you'd criticize me for it
Johnny: hey I'm not that mean
Jayden: weeelllll
Johnny laughed which caused me to laugh and heart to melt. His laugh is just so cute and contagious. One of the reasons I started falling for him.
Jayden: well I better get going but I'll cya tomorrow
Johnny: yeah I'll cya tomorrow...babe
He playfully winked but it still made me feel some type of way. I smiled and waved goodbye. I didn't speak because I was scared. I didn't wanna say anything wrong or do anything stupid. Hearing him call me babe just made me happy and that wink! It was hot I can't lie but I can't be so invested into this "relationship." It's fake and would never be real. I need to drill that into my brain. If I don't then I'll get way too attached and I just can't let that happen because if he does end up with Annie in the end I don't what I'd do.
