Chapter 25: When Did This Happen?

Johnny's POV:
I walked to school and met up with Jayden on the way there. Just to make it look more realistic.
Jayden: hey you!
Johnny: hey! So what's the plan are we just gonna walk in to school like this or?
Jayden: awh would this be your first "relationship"
Johnny: what? No of course not! I'm 16! I've definitely had a girlfriend before
Jayden: sure. Well if you need some tutoring it goes kinda like this
She took my hand in hers and smiled. I looked down at our hands then back up at Jayden with a smile on my face.
Johnny: got it!
It didn't take us to long to get to school. We talked the whole way and I almost forgot our hands were connected. I didn't realize until my foot stepped into the school and my anxiety hit me
Johnny: Jayden I cant do this
Jayden: are you nervous?
Johnny: just a little
Jayden: don't be nervous just follow my lead ok?
I nodded my head in agreement
Jayden: you'll be fine
We walked into school hand in hand. We talked about things we normally would talk about so that didn't really change. As we walked to halls I heard a name call me from behind
Annie: hey John!
I turned around to see it was Annie and my heart immediately started to race. I knew Jayden could see the panic in my face because she gripped my hand a little tighter.
Jayden: you'll be ok
I looked down at her and instantly felt relived.
Annie's POV:
I saw John at the end of the hallway and noticed he was with Jayden. That was strange but I didn't think much of it. That was until I ran over to them. The closer I got the clearer it all became. I saw that they were holding hands. When did this happen?
Annie: h-hey did you two walk to school together or something?
Johnny: yeah I'm sorry Anns I should have texted you
Annie: no no it's ok I get it..I should probably get to class but I'll see you around?
Johnny: for sure
Annie: and Jayden? I'll cya in p.e?
Jayden: you sure will
Annie: alright you're two. Have a good date-I mean day
I really fucked that one up.
Johnny: same to you!
Jayden: you to!
I smiled a walked away. Was it a fake one? Perhaps. I mean I'm happy that they're happy but it's ok to be hurting right? Is that selfish? Emotions are just weird. I thought I had my final decision done and made but now I'm lost again. Its always something isn't it?
